What a supplemental feed is
A supplemental feed adds or overrides attributes of products that already exist in your primary feed, matched by the product id (g:id). It cannot add products, remove them, or change anything it does not contain. The Komplet feed contains two kinds of attributes only: custom labels assigned by the tools and titles you approved. Prices, availability and links are never touched.
Your feed URL
Every shop has its own private feed URL, shown on the Komplet dashboard and in the in-app version of this article. Anyone who knows it can read the labels and titles, so treat it like a password; the dashboard can generate a new one if it leaks.
Steps in Merchant Center
- In Google Merchant Center open Products, then Data sources (or Feeds).
- Under Supplemental sources choose Add supplemental product data and select Scheduled fetch.
- Paste the feed URL shown on your Komplet dashboard.
- Set the fetch frequency to daily. No login is required; the link is private to your shop.
- Link the supplemental source to your primary feed so Google applies the added attributes.
After adding it
- Mark the step as done on the dashboard ("I added it in Merchant Center"). The dashboard also shows when Google last fetched the feed and how many items are published at the moment.
- Google applies supplemental data after its next fetch; allow a few hours after the fetch for titles and labels to appear in Merchant Center.
- The feed is empty until a tool assigns a label or you approve a title. An empty supplemental feed is valid and changes nothing.
- If your primary feed already fills a custom label slot, a Komplet label in the same slot overrides it for the products that have one. Each tool states which slot it uses.
