A: No. Campaigns, feeds, history, and performance data remain untouched; only the CSS label shown under Shopping ads changes. - Q: Is the saving guaranteed to be exactly 20%? A: The mechanism removes Google's margin on the auction bid; the effective saving is up to 20% and varies by account and market. - Q: Can I switch back? A: Yes, at any time — the switch is fully reversible in Merchant Center. - Q: Do you need access to my Google Ads account? A: No. verteco.shop never has access to Google Ads or Merchant Center. If you’re already handling Google Ads campaigns, you’re likely familiar with the topic. And if you’ve never heard of CSS, now is the time to learn how it can help you promote your business efficiently on the Google search engine. ### Why do Comparison Shopping Services (CSS) exist? We’ve all come across those special websites where we can compare product prices from different stores: these types of sites are called price comparison portals. Probably the most well-known portal in this category is Google Shopping. To place Google Shopping ads (also known as "Product Listing Ads"), your company's products need to be listed on such a price comparison portal (or multiple portals). Until 2017, Google held a monopoly with its own price portal, Google Shopping, where it showcased Google Shopping Ads. This situation was deemed unfair, and some companies decided to take legal action against the famous search engine. Google's monopolistic position was penalized by the court, resulting in Google losing the case and being compelled by the European Commission to launch the CSS – Comparison Shopping Services program. Not all comparison portals are participating in this program. The CSS must be specially certified by Google and need to meet specific requirements. All price comparison portals registered in the Google Comparison Shopping Services program and granted CSS partner status are allowed to place product ads for merchants in Google search results. ### What’s the difference with Paid Ads? - Google’s margin is no longer deducted from the Cost per Click (CPC). - At the bottom of all sponsored ads, instead of "By Google," it says "By XX." ### How can you say that Google’s margin exists? Here’s what Google says about its margin: Google doesn’t specify exactly how much the margin is; it can only be calculated empirically after switching to a CSS provider based on results. From experience, this margin is about 20% of CPC. This is the famous discount promoted by CSS partners. Why don’t you see directly in your account that you’re actually paying for Google’s CSS? This is an internal decision by Google. The margin is deducted from the cost per click before your bid enters the auction. If you use Google Shopping CSS (the default one), your actual bid is approximately 20% lower than that of a merchant already working with another CSS portal (not Google CSS) and, therefore, is present with a bid 20% higher in the Google auction. Of course, you only pay this margin to Google Shopping if someone clicks on the ad (if not, no margin is charged). But your bid in the Google auction is still about 20% lower each time. ### Does a CSS Partner charge a fee for using their CSS? Yes, most often it’s a monthly subscription. There are hundreds of CSS partners with a wide range of offerings. Many agencies choose to work with a particular CSS provider, and some even have their own CSS (for instance, Verteco Digital, a digital marketing agency, has its own CSS – Verteco Shop). ### Will data in the feed be lost after migrating to another CSS? Will it ruin or change my marketing campaigns? No. Migration from one CSS to another occurs internally between the CSS provider and Google. Google "connects" your Merchant Center account to a CSS account, and the Google margin is no longer deducted from CPC when ads enter the auction. If anything happens to the data (though it shouldn’t), it’s Google’s fault, not the CSS’s. ### Does Google push down campaigns that are created using a different CSS? No, Google doesn’t want to end up in court again and be penalized 😊 So, it all depends on how well you manage your marketing campaigns. With poorly targeted campaigns, not even Google Shopping as a CSS can help. ### Google’s margin will no longer be charged. What happens to my budget? You no longer pay Google’s margin, but, of course, Google won’t send the money back to your advertising budget. In reality, your bid is automatically 20% higher, and you can use your budget for Google ads much more effectively. It’s up to you how to manage your campaigns so that your strategy pays off. You can either keep the same budget and get more clicks on the ad or reduce the cost per click and maintain the same results while spending less. ### In which countries is the Google CSS program available? The program is available in 21 countries within and beyond the EU: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, and the United Kingdom. So, essentially, EU countries, the UK, and Switzerland. ### How can you use both an external CSS and Google CSS at the same time? You can use two Merchant Center accounts. The first account is connected to Google Shopping. The second – to an external CSS. ### How many CSS can you Use at the same time? As many as you want. ### What happens? Nothing good. If you use multiple CSSs simultaneously, you won’t get greater coverage because Google prevents multiple listings of a provider’s ads. From a performance perspective, this isn’t recommended. There are no advantages; in fact, there are even some disadvantages such as cannibalizing your own ads and having a weaker overall result. ### How do CSS providers differ one from another? There are three categories of CSS : - Participant - CSS Partner - Premium CSS Partner A Premium CSS Partner has more merchants registered as clients (only in terms of numbers). But it’s not always an advantage. A CSS provider with hundreds of clients outside of you won’t be able to handle you efficiently and won’t provide adequate support, especially in your native language. Verteco offers personalized support to all countries participating in the Verteco Shop program, with specially allocated managers, native speakers, who offer support and assistance efficiently. Technically, there’s no difference between Participant, CSS Partner, and Premium CSS Partner. Google’s margin is not charged for any of them. But a CSS can offer additional services or manage your advertising campaigns. It’s good to think about what exactly you need and how much it costs. There’s no point in paying for services just because they are offered by a large and well-known provider but also very expensive on the market. Practically, all external CSSs offer exactly the same thing. The size and age of the company guarantee superior quality services. Technically, all CSSs are the same; the differences are only aesthetic, in design, not functionality. ### Conclusion Google CSS providers give merchants a bidding advantage over competitors who aren’t yet using external CSS (except for Google Shopping CSS itself). It’s wise to choose a CSS for which you have all the necessary information and can test it as Verteco, for example, offers the possibility to use it for free for a month. # Choose subscription (pricing) https://verteco.shop/choose-subscription/ Experience our service risk-free with a 30-day trial. ## Monthly payment — 19 € monthly* Pay by card, Google pay or Apple Pay - 20% more effective CPC for Google Shopping Ads - Free, 30-day, risk-free trial - Full online support - Easy monthy payment - Apple pay - Google pay - Card pay - Price per 1 account ## Yearly payment — 199 € yearly* Pay every 12 months with a discount - 20% more effective CPC for Google Shopping Ads - Free, 30-day, risk-free trial - Full online support - Long-term discount - Apple pay - Google pay - Card pay - Price per 1 account ## Agency / Custom — custom Company plan for companies and individuals - 20% more effective CPC for Google Shopping Ads - Free, 30-day, risk-free trial - Account manager - Custom agency pricing - Pay by invoice - Merchant portal - System integration - Custom pricing *VAT excluded By paying for our services using Stripe, you support carbon removal . App: https://portal.verteco.shop/ ## Verteco Feedpulse (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/feed_health/ Health score and issue list for your product feed. Feedpulse scores the daily snapshot of your product feed from 0 to 100: required and recommended Google Shopping attributes, GTIN or brand + MPN, title and description length, promotional or all-caps titles, missing or reused images, price and availability errors, the out-of-stock share and duplicate ids. Every finding lists the affected products with a link to the matching Merchant Center help article; the check runs again after each feed import, once a day or when you press Recheck now, and a 30-day history shows the trend. Google’s own item disapprovals are not included – that needs a Merchant Center connection, which is not available yet. - Score 0–100 with a 30-day trend, recomputed after each feed import, once a day or on demand - Checks of attributes, identifiers, titles, descriptions, images, prices, availability and duplicates - Affected products listed per finding, with a link to Google’s Merchant Center help - Radar alert when the score drops or more than 20 % of products lack an image or a price - Later with a Merchant Center connection: Google’s item-level disapprovals A product feed with missing identifiers, short titles or broken prices loses impressions before any bid is placed. Feedpulse is a Google Shopping feed health check for merchants and agencies who want to see the state of the whole feed every day, without going through Merchant Center diagnostics product by product. ### What Feedpulse reads today Feedpulse works on the daily snapshot of the public feed URL you enter on the Komplet dashboard. In one pass over the present products it checks required and recommended Google Shopping attributes, identifiers (GTIN, or brand plus MPN), variants without item_group_id, duplicate GTINs and ids, title and description length, all-caps and promotional titles, image problems (missing, plain http, one image reused on unrelated items), price problems (missing, zero, no currency, sale price not below the price), availability values outside Google's set, the out-of-stock share, items that disappeared in the last 7 days and the feed's own fetch status. Google's item disapprovals are not included, because there is no Merchant Center connection yet. ### How the feed health check works, step by step You add the feed URL and Komplet fetches it once a day. Feedpulse scores the snapshot from 0 to 100: each finding deducts up to its weight in proportion to the share of products it affects, and feed-level findings such as a failed fetch deduct a fixed amount. Each finding lists the affected products with a link to the matching Merchant Center help article, so you fix the cause in your shop system or feed export. The check runs again when the feed was fetched since the last run, when the product count changed, when the result is older than 24 hours, or on Recheck now. Large catalogues are checked by a background job; a 30-day history shows the trend. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Nothing. Feedpulse is read-only: it does not edit your feed, your Merchant Center account or your campaigns, and needs no login to either. It does feed Radar, the alert centre: a score drop of more than 15 points by default, a failed fetch, or more than 20 % of products without an image or a price raises an alert that appears in the app and in the daily e-mail digest. Fixing the findings improves the data Google uses to match products to searches, which is the part of Shopping performance that happens before bids and before the CSS. The score is the same whichever CSS serves your shop. Q: Is Feedpulse included in the €19 per month CSS subscription? A: Yes. Feedpulse is one of the Verteco Komplet tools, and every Komplet tool is included in the verteco.shop CSS price of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. There is no separate feed-tool plan; a shop in trial or with an active subscription runs checks, a read-only shop sees its stored result. Q: Does Feedpulse change my product feed? A: No. Feedpulse only reads the daily snapshot of your public feed URL and stores the result. It writes nothing to your feed, your shop system or Merchant Center. Fixes are made at the source, and the next check shows whether they worked. Q: How is the feed health score calculated? A: The score starts at 100. Each finding has a weight and deducts up to that weight in proportion to the share of products it affects, so a missing GTIN on 2 % of products costs far less than on 60 %. Feed-level findings such as a failed fetch deduct a fixed amount. A 30-day history is stored per shop. Q: Does Feedpulse show Google's item disapprovals from Merchant Center? A: Not yet. Disapprovals are decided by Google and only readable through a Merchant Center connection, which Komplet does not have today. Feedpulse covers the data problems that typically cause disapprovals, so most are visible as findings before Google reports them. Disapprovals will be added once the connection exists. Q: How often does the check run? A: After each feed import, when the product count changes, when the stored result is older than 24 hours, and on demand with Recheck now. Catalogues above the inline limit are checked by a background job so the page stays fast; the stored result is shown until the job has finished. ## Verteco Feed Tuner (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/feed_optimizer/ Title scores, suggestions and attribute gaps, without touching your feed. Feed Tuner scores every product title from 0 to 100 against the attributes your feed already carries – brand, product type, colour, size, material, gender, 70–150 characters, no promotional text, no repeated words – and builds a suggested title per product from a pattern you choose, such as Brand + Title, or your own template. Suggestions you approve, one by one or in bulk, are published as title overrides through the supplemental feed Komplet hosts; your own feed is never modified. A missing-attribute report (brand, GTIN, colour, size) downloads as CSV. - Title score 0–100 per product, worst titles first, with the reason for each deduction - Suggested titles from a selectable pattern or your own template, built from your existing feed attributes - Approve product by product or in bulk; approved titles go out through the hosted supplemental feed, your primary feed stays untouched - Missing-attribute report (brand, GTIN, colour, size) with CSV download - Scores use the feed snapshot only – search terms and performance need a Google connection, which is not available yet Product titles decide which searches a Shopping ad can match, and most feeds carry brand, colour or size in attributes that never reach the title. Feed Tuner is a product title optimizer for Google Shopping merchants who want better titles without rebuilding their feed export or giving a tool write access to it. ### What Feed Tuner reads today Feed Tuner reads the daily snapshot of your product feed and nothing else. For every product it scores the title from 0 to 100: brand present, product-type words present, colour, size, material and gender present when the feed carries them, 70 to 150 characters, not mostly upper case, no promotional text, no repeated words. Checks that cannot apply to a product, such as a brand check when the data has no brand, are left out of its denominator. The catalogue scan runs once per feed snapshot and is cached, so the worst titles are listed first with the reason for each deduction. A missing-attribute report for brand, GTIN, colour and size downloads as CSV. ### How title suggestions work, step by step Pick a pattern such as Brand + Title, or write your own template with the placeholders {brand}, {title}, {color}, {size}, {material} and {product_type}. Feed Tuner builds a suggested title per product from the attributes your feed already has: words already in the title are not repeated, the original wording and casing stay, and the result is cut at a word boundary at Google's 150 characters. You review suggestions one by one or approve them in bulk; approved suggestions become title overrides published through the supplemental feed Komplet hosts for your shop. Large bulk actions run as a background job. Search terms and performance data need a Google connection, which is not available yet. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Your primary feed is never modified. Once you add the hosted supplemental feed in Merchant Center as a scheduled fetch, Google merges the approved titles into the matching products by id after its next fetch, and the new titles show in Merchant Center and in your Shopping and Performance Max ads. Unapproved suggestions change nothing. If you remove an override later, the supplemental feed stops carrying it and Google falls back to the title from your primary feed. Campaigns, bids and budgets are untouched; Product Lab can take the same suggestions into a before/after title test when you want to measure the effect. Q: Is Feed Tuner included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Feed Tuner is part of Verteco Komplet, which is included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. Scoring, suggestions, bulk approval and the missing-attribute CSV are all part of it; there is no per-product or per-feed charge. Q: Does Feed Tuner change my feed? A: No. It reads the daily snapshot of your public feed URL and publishes only the titles you approve, through a separate supplemental feed hosted by Komplet. A supplemental feed overrides attributes of existing products matched by id; it cannot add or remove products or touch prices, availability or links. Q: How long should a Google Shopping product title be? A: Google accepts up to 150 characters. Feed Tuner scores 70 to 150 characters as the target range because shorter titles usually leave out attributes shoppers search for, and the suggestion builder cuts at a word boundary at 150. The most relevant words belong at the front, where they stay visible when Google truncates. Q: Does Feed Tuner use search terms or performance data? A: Not today. Scores and suggestions come from the attributes in your feed only. Search terms and click data live in Google Ads, which Komplet cannot read without a Google connection; that connection is planned. Until then, upload a Google Ads product report to Cockpit or Product Lab to see how changed titles perform. Q: What happens if I approve a title and want the old one back? A: Remove the override in Feed Tuner. The hosted supplemental feed stops carrying that title, and after Google's next scheduled fetch the product shows the title from your primary feed again. Nothing has to change in your shop system, and the approval history stays visible in the tool. ## Verteco Lineup (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/segmentation/ Pick your starters, bench the rest. Lineup sorts the products in the Google Ads product report you upload into four tiers – Top performers, Steady, Potential and Idle – from clicks, conversions and ROAS, with thresholds you can edit; feed products missing from the report are shown as No data. The tier is written to a custom label (custom_label_0 by default) and published through the hosted supplemental feed, so each tier can get its own listing group, bid or campaign in Google Ads. A second label slot holds your own per-product tags, such as promo or season. - Four tiers – Top performers, Steady, Potential, Idle – from your uploaded Google Ads product report - Editable thresholds: minimum clicks, minimum conversions, ROAS target - Tier published as a custom label through the hosted supplemental feed - Your own per-product tags in a second label slot, with a small tag manager - Instructions for subdividing listing groups by the label in Google Ads; nothing is fetched from Google Every product in a Shopping or Performance Max campaign gets the same treatment unless custom labels tell Google Ads otherwise. Lineup is for merchants who want to separate products that convert from products that only cost clicks, using the Google Ads data they already have. ### What Lineup reads today Lineup reads the Google Ads product report you upload: one row per Item ID with impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value for the period. It joins the report with the daily feed snapshot for title, brand, product type and price. Feed products the report does not mention appear as No data, which is a useful list on its own. Nothing is fetched from Google Ads; the report is a CSV export, and the Academy article on exporting the Google Ads product report explains which report and columns to use. The last five uploads are kept per shop, and Lineup works with the newest one. ### How the four tiers work, step by step Lineup sorts every product in the report into four tiers from three thresholds you can edit. Top performers have at least the minimum conversions (default 2) and a ROAS at or above the target (default 3.0). Steady products have at least one conversion and at least the minimum clicks (default 10) but miss the Top thresholds. Potential products have clicks but no conversion yet, or fewer than the minimum clicks. Idle products have impressions but no clicks, or nothing at all. The tier is written to one custom label slot, custom_label_0 by default, through the hosted supplemental feed; a second slot, custom_label_1 by default, holds your own tags such as promo or season, managed in a small tag manager. ### What it changes in Google Ads Lineup does not write to Google Ads. It publishes the tier as a custom label through the supplemental feed; after Merchant Center fetches that feed the label is on the product, and Google Ads sees it within hours. You then subdivide the product groups of a Shopping campaign, or the listing groups of a Performance Max asset group, by Custom label 0 and set bids, budgets or exclusions per tier; the tool page gives the steps. Because the label value is stable text such as Top performers, your product groups keep working when a newer report moves products between tiers. Your primary feed is never modified. Q: How do I use custom labels in Google Shopping campaigns? A: Custom labels are five feed attributes, custom_label_0 to custom_label_4, that shoppers never see. In a Shopping campaign open Product groups, subdivide All products by Custom label 0 and set a bid or exclusion per value. In Performance Max subdivide the listing groups of an asset group the same way. Lineup fills one slot with the tier. Q: How do I export the Google Ads product report that Lineup needs? A: In Google Ads open a Shopping or Performance Max campaign, choose Products, set the date range and download as CSV; or use the Report editor's predefined Shopping report by Item ID. Item ID is required; impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value are recommended. Files up to 20 MB are accepted. Q: Is Lineup included in the €19 per month CSS price? A: Yes. Lineup is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop, together with the hosted supplemental feed that publishes the labels. Nothing is charged per label, product or upload. Q: Does Lineup change my feed or my Google Ads account? A: No. The tier is published through a separate supplemental feed hosted by Komplet, which Merchant Center merges into your products by id. Your primary feed, campaigns, bids and budgets stay as they are until you subdivide product groups by the label yourself. Nothing is written to Google Ads. Q: What happens without a Google Ads connection? A: Lineup works entirely from the report you upload, so it needs no connection. Tiers are as current as your last upload, so re-upload after each period you want to evaluate. A Google connection that reads the same report automatically is planned; the tiers and labels will stay the same. ## Verteco Price Position (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/price_benchmark/ See where your price stands in the market. Price Position reads the Merchant Center price competitiveness report you upload and classifies every offer with a benchmark price as below, at or above market, around a ±1 % band you can change. Each row is joined with your feed snapshot for title, brand, product type and the current price, and is flagged when the feed price has moved away from the price in the report. The class can be published to a custom label (custom_label_3 by default) through the hosted supplemental feed, and the classified list downloads as CSV. - Below / at / above market per product from the Merchant Center price competitiveness report (CSV upload) - Adjustable band around the benchmark (±1 % by default) - Flag for products whose current feed price differs from the report - Class published as a custom label through the hosted supplemental feed - Classified list as CSV download; nothing is fetched from Google yet Merchant Center reports a benchmark price for many of your products, but the report is a flat list that is hard to act on. Price Position is for merchants who want to know which products are priced below, at or above the market and use that answer in their bidding. ### What Price Position reads today Price Position reads the Merchant Center price competitiveness report you upload: one row per offer with your price and the benchmark price, downloaded once Market Insights is enabled. Every row with both prices is classified Below, At or Above market around a band of ±1 % by default, adjustable per shop. Each row is joined with the daily feed snapshot for title, brand, product type, link and the current feed price. When the feed price is more than 2 % away from the report's your price, the row is flagged: the report is older than the feed. Products without a benchmark are not in Google's report and therefore not classified. Nothing is fetched from Google yet. ### How it works, step by step Enable Market Insights in Merchant Center, open the price competitiveness report, choose the country and download it as CSV; the Academy article walks through the menu paths. Upload the file in Price Position. The tool classifies each offer, shows the distribution across the three classes and lets you filter by brand or product type. Download the classified list as CSV, or publish the class to a custom label slot, custom_label_3 by default, through the hosted supplemental feed; reports with many rows are published by a background job. The last five uploads per shop are kept and the newest is used; only the band setting and the published stamp are stored. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Price Position writes nothing to Merchant Center or Google Ads and does not change your prices. If you publish the class as a label, Merchant Center merges it into your products after fetching the supplemental feed, and in Google Ads you can subdivide product groups or Performance Max listing groups by Custom label 3: bid up on products priced below market, hold back on products priced above it, or exclude them. Pricing decisions stay in your shop system; the stale flag tells you when to download a fresh report. Your primary feed is never modified. Q: How do I export the Merchant Center price competitiveness report? A: The report belongs to the Market Insights programme. In the classic Merchant Center open Growth, then Manage programs, and enable Market Insights; in Merchant Center Next look for Price competitiveness among the analytics pages. Open the report, choose the country and use the download icon to save a CSV. Price Position reads Item ID plus the price columns. Q: Is Price Position included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Price Position is part of Verteco Komplet, included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. Classification, CSV download and label publishing through the hosted supplemental feed are all part of it. Q: Does Price Position change my prices or my feed? A: No. It reads the report you upload and your feed snapshot, and optionally publishes a class label through a separate supplemental feed. Prices, availability and links are never touched, and nothing is written to Merchant Center or Google Ads. Price changes are made in your shop system. Q: Why are some products missing from the result? A: Google only reports a benchmark where it has enough price data from other merchants for the same product, so products without a benchmark are not in the report at all. Rows with only one price are left unclassified. The result lists exactly the offers Google compared. Q: What happens without a Merchant Center connection? A: Price Position works from the uploaded report, so no connection is needed. The result is as fresh as your last download; the stale flag shows when the feed price has moved more than 2 % away from the report. Reading the report directly from Merchant Center is planned for a later Google connection. ## Verteco Cockpit (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/dashboard/ Every click, cost and sale per product. Cockpit shows the Google Ads product report you upload per product – impressions, clicks, CTR, cost, conversions, conversion value and ROAS for the report period – joined with your feed snapshot for title, brand, product type, price and link. You get KPI tiles, the top products by cost, clicks and conversion value, products that cost money without converting, breakdowns by brand and product type, and how much of your feed gets traffic at all. Google Ads is not connected yet: the report is a CSV you upload, and the CSS signals shown next to it (Google’s automatic account labels, your products in the verteco.shop CSS feed) come from our own CSS sync. - KPI tiles for the report period: impressions, clicks, CTR, cost, conversions, conversion value, ROAS - Top products by cost, clicks and conversion value; products with spend and no conversions - Breakdowns by brand and first-level product type with the share of cost and of conversion value - Feed coverage: which feed products get no impressions at all - CSV export; report uploaded as CSV – no Google Ads connection yet Google Ads shows product performance inside a campaign, but merchants usually want the answer per product across the account, joined with what the feed says about it. Cockpit is a product-level dashboard for merchants and agencies who want clicks, cost and sales per product in one view. ### What Cockpit reads today Cockpit reads the Google Ads product report you upload: Reports, Predefined reports, Shopping, Product ID, one row per product and day. The rows are aggregated per product and joined with the daily feed snapshot for title, brand, product type, price and link. The report is a CSV export of up to 20 MB; the import handles UTF-16, tab separators, title lines above the header, Total rows and the column names of English, Czech, Slovak, German and Polish exports. Next to the report Cockpit shows two CSS signals from verteco.shop's own CSS sync: the automatic account labels Google assigns to your Merchant Center account and the number of your products in the verteco.shop CSS feed. There is no Google Ads connection yet. ### How the dashboard is built, step by step Upload the report; the newest upload is shown and the last five are kept per shop. Cockpit shows KPI tiles for the report period: impressions, clicks, CTR, cost, conversions, conversion value and ROAS. Below them are the top products by cost, by clicks and by conversion value, the products that cost money without converting, and breakdowns by brand and by first-level product type with each one's share of cost and of conversion value. A feed coverage figure tells you how many feed products appear in the report at all, which is usually the first surprise. Everything is recomputed from the upload and the snapshot on request and exports as CSV. ### What it changes in Google Ads Cockpit changes nothing in Google Ads or Merchant Center. It is a reading tool, and the actions follow in the other Komplet tools: products with spend and no conversions are the input for Lineup tiers and Margin's bid recommendations; products with no impressions are the input for Feedpulse and Feed Tuner. The CSS signals show the state of your account under the verteco.shop CSS, independent of the report. Because the report is uploaded, the dashboard covers exactly the period and campaigns you exported; re-upload for a new period and the tiles update. Q: How do I export the Google Ads product report for Cockpit? A: In Google Ads open Reports, then Predefined reports, Shopping, Product ID, set the date range and download as CSV. Alternatively open a Shopping or Performance Max campaign, choose Products and use the download icon. Item ID is required; impressions, clicks, cost, conversions, conversion value and Day are recommended. Q: Is Cockpit included in the €19 CSS subscription? A: Yes. Cockpit is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. There is no reporting add-on, no per-upload charge and no limit on how often you upload a new report. Q: Does Cockpit connect to my Google Ads account? A: Not yet. Today the report is a CSV you upload, so Komplet needs no access to your Google Ads account. A Google connection that reads the same report on a schedule is planned; the dashboard will stay the same, only the upload step will go away. Q: Why does Cockpit show fewer products than my feed has? A: Google Ads reports only products that had at least one impression in the period you exported. Cockpit's feed coverage figure makes this visible: feed products missing from the report got no traffic at all. That list often matters more than the top products, because it shows where the feed or the campaign structure leaves products out. Q: What are the CSS signals next to the report? A: Google provides each CSS with account and product data of the merchants it serves. verteco.shop syncs this, and Cockpit shows the part matched to your shop: Google's automatic account labels and how many of your products are in the verteco.shop CSS feed. They confirm that the switch is active and your products are served. ## Verteco Radar (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/alerts/ Catch problems before they cost you clicks. Radar compares the daily feed snapshot – and the latest uploaded Google Ads report when there is one – with a stored baseline and raises alerts when the product count drops, the out-of-stock share rises, the feed fetch fails or too many feed products get no impressions; Feedpulse adds score drops and missing images or prices. Thresholds are set per shop. Open alerts are listed in the app and mailed once a day in one digest to your account e-mail; item disapprovals from Merchant Center are not included yet, because there is no Google connection. - Alerts for product-count drops, out-of-stock share, feed fetch errors and products without impressions - Feedpulse alerts in the same place: score drop, missing images, missing prices - Thresholds you set per shop; evaluation runs in the background and on demand - One daily e-mail digest to your account address; dismiss alerts or accept the current numbers as the new baseline - Later with a Merchant Center connection: item disapprovals as a further source A feed that silently lost a third of its products, or a fetch that failed over the weekend, costs impressions before anyone opens a dashboard. Radar is the alert centre for merchants who want to be told when the feed or the Shopping data moves outside the numbers they consider normal. ### What Radar reads today Radar compares the daily feed snapshot, and the latest uploaded Google Ads product report when there is one, with a stored baseline. It raises an alert when the product count falls by 20 % or more against the reference count, when the out-of-stock share reaches 30 %, when the last feed fetch failed, or when 50 % or more of feed products have no impressions in the report. Those are the defaults; each threshold is set per shop within its allowed range. Feedpulse raises its own alerts into the same place: a score drop of more than 15 points, and missing images or prices on more than 20 % of products. Item disapprovals from Merchant Center are not included yet, because there is no Google connection. ### How the evaluation works, step by step The evaluation runs as a background job, queued when you open the page and the baseline is older than 6 hours, and on Evaluate now. The reference product count follows the normal level: it is updated on every evaluation that finds no drop; while a drop alert is open it is kept, and after 7 days the lower count is accepted as the new normal, or earlier when you choose Accept current numbers as baseline. Each alert carries a severity, the tool that raised it, the time, a message and the numbers behind it. Open alerts are listed with the last 100 resolved ones; they resolve automatically when the next evaluation no longer finds the problem, or you dismiss them. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Radar changes nothing in your accounts and sends nothing to Google. Its output is the alert list and one e-mail digest per day to your account e-mail, one message rather than one per alert; Send test alert shows the format. The response happens where the cause is: a product-count drop or fetch error in your shop's feed export, a high out-of-stock share in purchasing or availability data, products without impressions in feed quality or campaign structure. Agencies see the open alert count per client in Partner Desk, and the sidebar badge shows the count for the selected shop. Q: Is Radar included in the €19 CSS subscription? A: Yes. Radar is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. The evaluation, thresholds, alert history and the daily e-mail digest are all part of it, with no monitoring add-on. Q: What does Radar monitor without a Google connection? A: The feed snapshot: product count, out-of-stock share and fetch status, plus Feedpulse's score, images and prices. With an uploaded Google Ads product report it also watches the share of products without impressions. Item disapprovals live in Merchant Center and will be added as a source once a Google connection exists. Q: How often do I get alert e-mails? A: Once a day, in one digest to your account e-mail, and only when there are open alerts. The in-app list is updated every time an evaluation runs, which happens in the background when the baseline is older than 6 hours or when you press Evaluate now. Q: Can I change the thresholds? A: Yes, per shop. Product-count drop (default 20 %), out-of-stock share (default 30 %), products without impressions (default 50 %) and the Feedpulse score drop (default 15 points) each have a range you can set within. Lower values mean earlier, more frequent alerts; the right level depends on how much your catalogue normally moves. Q: What happens when my catalogue legitimately shrinks? A: A drop alert opens and stays open while the count is low. If the new size is intended, choose Accept current numbers as baseline and the alert is resolved; otherwise the lower count becomes the new reference after 7 days. The reference also rises again on any evaluation that finds no drop. ## Verteco Checkup (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/ads_audit/ Eleven checks and a score for your Google Ads product report. Checkup runs eleven checks over the Google Ads product report you upload, combined with your feed snapshot and, when uploaded, your margins sheet: conversion tracking, products shown but never clicked, feed products without impressions, spend without conversions, spend concentration, CPC outliers, click-through rate, ROAS below break-even, report-to-feed match, product identifiers and out-of-stock products with spend. Each check passes, warns or fails with the numbers behind it and up to 25 example products, and the weighted result is a 0–100 score with a grade and a run history. Without a report you get a ten-question manual checklist instead. - Eleven pass / warn / fail checks with the numbers behind each one and example products - Score 0–100 with a grade from A to F and a history of previous runs - Break-even ROAS from your margins sheet when you upload one - Findings as CSV download; re-run at any time after a new upload - Ten-question manual checklist for shops without a report yet Shopping accounts drift: tracking breaks, a few products absorb most of the budget, and half the feed never gets an impression. Checkup is a Google Ads product report audit for merchants and agencies who want a scored, repeatable review of their own data without granting account access. ### What Checkup reads today Checkup reads three inputs that are already in Komplet: the latest uploaded Google Ads product report, the daily feed snapshot and, when you have uploaded one, your margins sheet. It runs eleven checks: conversion tracking present, products shown but never clicked, feed products without impressions, spend without conversions, spend concentration, CPC outliers, click-through rate, ROAS below break-even, report-to-feed match, product identifiers, and out-of-stock products that still spend. Each check passes, warns or fails with the numbers behind it and up to 25 example products, or reports no data when the input is missing. The break-even ROAS comes from your margins sheet. No Google connection is involved. ### How the audit works, step by step Export the Google Ads product report, one row per Item ID with impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value, and upload it in Checkup; optionally upload the margins CSV too. The checks run in the request, or as a background job for shops with more than 5,000 feed products. The eleven results are weighted into a 0 to 100 score with a grade: A from 90, B from 75, C from 60, D from 40, F below. The result is stored with a run history, so you can re-run after fixing something and compare. Findings download as CSV. Shops without a report get a ten-question manual checklist instead, with the answers saved per shop. ### What it changes in Google Ads Checkup changes nothing in Google Ads or Merchant Center; it reads the exported data and tells you where to look. The fixes follow the check: conversion tracking in Google Ads, identifiers and availability in the feed, spend concentration and spend without conversions in your product groups or in Lineup's tiers, ROAS below break-even in Margin's recommendations, products without impressions in Feedpulse and Feed Tuner. A new upload after the changes gives the next score for the history. The free account checkup for shops that are not clients yet is a separate form on verteco.shop. Q: How do I export the Google Ads product report for Checkup? A: In Google Ads open Reports, Predefined reports, Shopping, Product ID, or open a Shopping or Performance Max campaign and choose Products. Set the date range and download as CSV, up to 20 MB. Item ID is required; impressions, clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value make all eleven checks possible. Q: Is Checkup included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Checkup is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. You can re-run it as often as you upload a new report; the run history is kept per shop. Q: Does Checkup need access to my Google Ads account? A: No. It works only on the report you export and upload, your feed snapshot and your optional margins sheet. There is no Google connection today, so nothing is read from or written to your account. Reading the report directly is planned for a later connection. Q: What is the break-even ROAS check? A: Break-even ROAS is the return on ad spend at which a product's gross margin exactly covers its ad cost. Checkup computes it from the cost price or margin percentage in your uploaded margins sheet and flags products whose ROAS in the report is below it. Without a margins sheet the check reports no data. Q: What do I get without a report? A: A ten-question manual checklist covering the same areas, with your answers saved per shop, plus the upload form. It is a starting point for shops that have not run Shopping ads yet or cannot export a report right away; the scored audit becomes available with the first upload. ## Verteco Verdict (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/css_test/ Run the test. Read the verdict. Verdict has four parts: a savings calculator from your monthly Shopping spend and average CPC, with break-even against the €19/month CSS fee; a guide to two A/B test designs – a Google Ads experiment with a user-based split, or two Merchant Center accounts with parallel campaigns – with duration guidance and what to compare; a results form where you enter impressions, clicks, cost and optional conversions for both arms and get the CPC and CTR differences with significance tests and a verdict; and a forecast of extra clicks or savings computed from your uploaded Google Ads product report. All numbers are typed in or uploaded by you – nothing is read from Google Ads yet. - Savings calculator: same budget, more clicks or same clicks, lower spend, with break-even against the €19/month fee - Guide to two test designs: Google Ads experiment (user-based split) or two Merchant Center accounts side by side - Results form for both arms with a two-proportion z-test on CTR, a CPC test and a verdict with p-values - Forecast of extra clicks and savings from your uploaded Google Ads product report - Last 10 test results stored per shop The CSS saving is a claim until it is measured in your own auctions. Verdict is for merchants who want to estimate what a CSS switch is worth, set up a fair A/B test between Google Shopping and verteco.shop, and read the result with the statistics stated. ### What Verdict reads today Verdict has four parts, and every input is typed in or uploaded by you; nothing is read from Google Ads yet. The savings calculator takes your monthly Shopping spend and average CPC. The A/B test guide needs no data. The results form takes impressions, clicks, cost and optional conversions for arm A, Google Shopping as the CSS, and arm B, verteco.shop as the CSS. The forecast reads the latest Google Ads product report you uploaded and uses its period cost and clicks. The calculator keeps your last inputs and the last 10 test results are stored per shop. The savings assumption is the one verteco.shop works with: ads placed through another CSS enter the auction without the share Google keeps for its own CSS, modelled as 20 %. ### How the test and the verdict work, step by step The calculator shows two views: same budget, more clicks, with bidding power raised by 25 %, and same clicks, lower spend, with cost reduced by 20 %, each against the €19 per month CSS fee for break-even. The guide describes two designs: a Google Ads experiment with a user-based 50/50 split, or two Merchant Center accounts with parallel campaigns, with duration guidance and what to compare. After the test you enter both arms' numbers. Verdict computes the CPC and CTR differences, runs a pooled two-proportion z-test on CTR and conversion rate and a Welch-type approximation for CPC that needs at least 30 clicks per arm, uses p < 0.05 as the threshold and writes a verdict with the assumptions. ### What it changes in Google Ads Verdict changes nothing in Google Ads or Merchant Center; you set the test up in your accounts, as the Academy article on running a CSS A/B test describes. Because a Merchant Center account has one CSS at a time, a test needs two accounts, the second as a sub-account under the verteco.shop multi-client account that the team creates for you. Verdict does the arithmetic: how big the difference is, whether it is significant, and what the forecast says for your spend. A non-significant result means the test needs more clicks, not that there is no difference. Partner Desk reuses the same formula for an aggregated estimate across an agency's clients. Q: Does a CSS reduce my CPC in Google Shopping? A: Ads placed through Google Shopping Europe carry a share Google keeps as the margin of its own CSS; ads placed through another CSS enter the auction without it. verteco.shop and Verdict model this as 20 %. The effect in your account depends on your auctions, which is why Verdict includes a test design and a significance test rather than a promise. Q: Is Verdict included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Verdict is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. The calculator and the test guide are usable from the first day; the forecast needs an uploaded Google Ads product report. Q: How long should a CSS A/B test run? A: At least two weeks, longer when daily clicks are low. The CPC comparison needs at least 30 clicks per arm, and 100 or more per arm gives a clearer result. Keep bids and budgets unchanged, avoid sales or feed problems in only one arm, and compare per-click metrics, not totals. Q: Does Verdict read my Google Ads data? A: Not yet. The calculator and the results form use numbers you type in; the forecast uses the Google Ads product report you upload. There is no Google connection today, so Komplet never touches your Google Ads account. A connection that reads the report directly is planned. Q: What does a non-significant result mean? A: That the observed difference could still be chance at the p < 0.05 threshold, usually because the arms have too few clicks. It does not mean the CSS has no effect. Extend the test, keep the setup unchanged and enter the larger numbers; Verdict stores the last 10 runs for comparison. ## Verteco Product Lab (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/sku_experiments/ Before/after title tests per product, with the stats to prove it. Product Lab tests a new title on up to 200 chosen products: starting the experiment publishes the variant-B titles through the hosted supplemental feed and snapshots each product’s impressions, clicks, cost and conversions from your latest Google Ads report as the baseline. When you upload a report covering the days after the start, the tool compares before and after per product and in aggregate, runs a two-proportion z-test on CTR and gives a verdict; stop restores the previous titles, adopt keeps variant B live. Google serves one title per product at a time, so this is a sequential before/after comparison rather than a simultaneous split, and image variants are out of scope. - Variant-B titles for up to 200 products, prefilled from Feed Tuner suggestions where they exist - Baseline and result from your uploaded Google Ads product reports, before and after the start - CTR, CPC and conversions per product, aggregate lift and a z-test verdict - Planned duration of 7, 14, 21 or 28 days; stop restores the old titles, adopt keeps the new ones - Titles only – a sequential before/after test, not a simultaneous split A better product title should mean more clicks, but without a controlled comparison nobody knows whether it did. Product Lab is a title testing tool for merchants who want to change titles on chosen products and read the before/after result with a statistical test. ### What Product Lab reads today Product Lab reads the daily feed snapshot for the products you pick, the Feed Tuner title suggestions when they exist, and your uploaded Google Ads product reports for the metrics. An experiment is a draft until it starts: you search and select up to 200 products, give each a variant-B title, prefilled from an unapproved Feed Tuner suggestion where there is one, and set a planned duration of 7, 14, 21 or 28 days. At start, the tool snapshots each product's impressions, clicks, cost and conversions from the latest uploaded report as the baseline. Up to 20 experiments are kept per shop. Nothing is fetched from Google Ads; results arrive when you upload a report covering the days after the start. ### How a title test works, step by step Starting the experiment publishes the variant-B titles as approved title overrides through the supplemental feed Komplet hosts, so Google serves them after its next fetch. Titles are written in bulk and committed together with the experiment state, so an interrupted request cannot leave titles published for a draft. After the planned period you upload a new Google Ads product report. Product Lab compares the baseline with the newest report uploaded after the start, per product and in aggregate: CTR, CPC and conversions, the lift, a two-proportion z-test on CTR and a verdict. Stop restores the previous title or override and freezes the result; adopt keeps variant B live and freezes the result too. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Product Lab changes titles only, and only through the hosted supplemental feed you added in Merchant Center; your primary feed is never modified and nothing is written to Google Ads. Google serves one title per product at a time, so this is a sequential before/after comparison, not a simultaneous split, and seasonality or bid changes during the period affect the reading; the tool says so. Image variants are out of scope because the supplemental feed publishes titles and custom labels only. An adopted variant stays live as an override, visible in Feed Tuner, until you remove it. Q: Is Product Lab included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Product Lab is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop, together with the hosted supplemental feed that publishes the test titles. There is no per-experiment or per-product charge. Q: Does Product Lab change my feed? A: Not your primary feed. Variant-B titles go out as title overrides through a separate supplemental feed hosted by Komplet, matched to your products by id. Stopping the experiment restores what was there before; adopting keeps the new title live until you remove the override in Feed Tuner. Q: Is this a real A/B test? A: It is a before/after test per product. Google serves one title per product at a time, so two titles cannot run simultaneously for the same item. Product Lab compares the baseline period with the period after the start, runs a two-proportion z-test on CTR and states this limitation in the verdict. Q: How do I get the results into Product Lab? A: Export the Google Ads product report for a date range after the experiment started, one row per Item ID with impressions, clicks, cost and conversions, and upload it. Product Lab uses the newest report uploaded after the start. A Google connection that reads the report automatically is planned, not available yet. Q: How many products and experiments can I test? A: Up to 200 products per experiment and up to 20 experiments per shop, with a planned duration of 7, 14, 21 or 28 days. Fewer products with enough clicks each give a clearer verdict than many products with a handful of clicks. ## Verteco Crossfeed (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/microsoft_export/ Your product feed, converted for Microsoft Shopping. Crossfeed converts the daily snapshot of your Google Shopping feed into a tab-delimited file with Microsoft Merchant Center’s attribute names, with the Komplet custom labels and approved titles applied. The page shows what is exported, what is skipped and why (missing id, title, link or price, out of stock, another currency), warnings Microsoft may reject or truncate, a preview of the converted items and the import steps. Today the export is a file you download and upload in Microsoft Merchant Center; a hosted feed URL that Microsoft fetches on a schedule is planned. - TSV file in Microsoft Merchant Center format, built from your feed snapshot - Komplet custom labels and approved titles included - Validation summary: skipped items with the reason, warnings per item, attribute and availability mapping - Options: include out-of-stock items, choose the export currency - Download and upload for now – a hosted URL for scheduled fetches is planned Microsoft Shopping accepts feeds that look a lot like Google's, but not exactly, and most shop systems export only the Google version. Crossfeed is for merchants who want to list the same catalogue in Microsoft Merchant Center without maintaining a second feed export. ### What Crossfeed reads today Crossfeed reads the daily snapshot of your Google Shopping feed and converts it into a tab-delimited file with Microsoft Merchant Center's attribute names, with the Komplet custom labels and approved title overrides applied. The page shows a validation summary: what is exported, what is skipped and why (missing id, title, link or price; out of stock unless you include it; priced in another currency than the one selected), and warnings for items Microsoft may reject or truncate: missing image_link, missing or unrecognised availability, missing currency, titles over 150 characters, ids over 50 characters, or no brand, GTIN or MPN at all. A paginated preview shows the converted items next to the attribute and availability mapping and the import steps. ### How the export works, step by step Set the two options: include out-of-stock items yes or no, and the currency to export, because one Microsoft feed covers one market and one currency. Read the summary; large catalogues are counted by a background job and the page shows the previous figures as outdated until it has run. Download the TSV, streamed row by row up to 50,000 items. In Microsoft Advertising open Tools, Microsoft Merchant Center, create a store with the verified domain, create a feed with country and language, and upload the file; Microsoft lists its own errors and warnings in the feed summary. The summary is cached per feed fetch, product count, options and label change, so it is recomputed only when one of those moves. ### What it changes in Google Ads or Microsoft Merchant Center Crossfeed changes nothing in Google Ads, Merchant Center or your primary feed; it produces a file. In Microsoft Merchant Center the file becomes a feed you upload, with availability mapped to Microsoft's In Stock, Out of Stock and Preorder. Because the Komplet labels and approved titles are applied, the segmentation you built with Lineup, Price Position or Margin and the titles from Feed Tuner are present on Microsoft from the first import. Today the export is a download you upload manually; a hosted feed URL that Microsoft fetches on a schedule is planned, and the page says so. Q: Can I use my Google Shopping feed for Microsoft Merchant Center? A: Largely yes: Microsoft accepts Google's attribute names in TSV, CSV or XML, with differences in availability values, one market and currency per feed and fewer supported countries. Crossfeed applies those differences, lists what it had to skip and gives you a file ready to upload in Microsoft Merchant Center. Q: Is Crossfeed included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Crossfeed is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. Validation, preview, options and the TSV download are all part of it; there is no per-export charge. Q: Does Crossfeed change my Google feed? A: No. It reads the daily snapshot and writes a separate file in Microsoft's format. Your primary feed, your Merchant Center account and your Google Ads campaigns are untouched. The Komplet custom labels and approved titles are included in the export the same way the hosted supplemental feed publishes them to Google. Q: Is there a feed URL Microsoft can fetch on a schedule? A: Not yet. Today you download the TSV and upload it in Microsoft Merchant Center, or schedule a download from your own hosting. A hosted URL for Microsoft's scheduled fetch is planned and the page states that it is not available; until then, re-download after larger feed changes. Q: Why are some products skipped? A: Items without an id, title, link or price cannot be listed and are skipped; out-of-stock items are skipped unless you turn the option on; items priced in another currency than the selected one are skipped because one Microsoft feed carries one currency. Each skipped group is counted with its reason in the summary. ## Verteco Switchover (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/switch_assistant/ A guided switchover with typical switch times. Switchover shows your switch as a timeline – requested, approved in Merchant Center, active in the CSS, products served – built from the account and product data Google reports to verteco.shop as your CSS. Alongside it you get a checklist to tick off, guidance for each step with the Merchant Center paths, the two switch modes (switching your existing account or a sub-account under the verteco.shop MCA), and notes on multi-client accounts and on feeds for countries outside Europe. The typical switch time is the median of all verteco.shop switches, computed anonymously and recomputed daily. - Timeline from request to products served, from the data Google reports to our CSS - Checklist: admin e-mail, request accepted, CSS for free listings, feed URL, supplemental feed - Guidance per step with Merchant Center paths and the two switch modes (own account or MCA sub-account) - Typical switch time: anonymous median across verteco.shop switches, recomputed daily - What changes and what stays after the switch; notes on MCA accounts and non-European feeds A CSS switch is a short process with a few steps in Merchant Center, and the uncertainty is mostly about where you are in it. Switchover is for merchants moving their Merchant Center account to the verteco.shop CSS who want to see each step, what it needs and how long switches typically take. ### What Switchover reads today Switchover reads the data Google reports to verteco.shop as your CSS, and your merchant record. From these it draws a timeline with four stages: Requested, from when your shop was created at verteco.shop and its lifecycle status; Approved in Merchant Center, when your account first appears in the CSS account data Google provides; Active in the CSS, when the account is present with Google's automatic Active label; and Products served, when products matched to your shop appear in the CSS product data. The typical switch time is the median of approval date minus request date across all verteco.shop switches, computed anonymously in a background job and recomputed once a day. Nothing is read from your Google Ads account. ### How the switch works, step by step The verteco.shop team sends the switch request to your Merchant Center id. An administrator of the account opens Settings, Comparison shopping services, and accepts it. Switchover gives you a checklist: admin e-mail confirmed, request accepted, CSS for free listings chosen, feed URL entered in Komplet, supplemental feed added, each with guidance and the Merchant Center paths. Two switch modes are described: the full switch of your own account, the standard path that leaves ownership with you, or a sub-account under the verteco.shop multi-client account, used by shops without a Merchant Center or for A/B tests. Notes cover multi-client accounts, where the MCA administrators accept the request, and feeds for countries outside Europe. ### What changes in Merchant Center and Google Ads After acceptance, Merchant Center lists verteco.shop as the CSS of the account and your Shopping ads show By verteco.shop instead of By Google. Ads keep running while Google applies the change; no campaign needs pausing and no feed re-uploading. Your Merchant Center id, product data, feeds, Google Ads campaigns, bids, budgets, targeting and conversion tracking stay as they are, and click costs are still billed by Google Ads. Free product listings keep a separate CSS setting, which the checklist includes. The switch gives verteco.shop no access to your Google Ads account, and you can change the CSS again at any time on the same page. Q: How do I switch my CSS partner in Merchant Center? A: Give verteco.shop your Merchant Center id. The team sends a request; Google e-mails the administrators and lists it under Settings, Comparison shopping services. Sign in with the Admin role and choose Accept. The page then shows verteco.shop as the CSS. Switchover tracks the stages and tells you what to do next. Q: How long does a CSS switch take? A: Switchover shows the typical time as the median of all verteco.shop switches from request to approval, computed anonymously and recomputed daily; the figure in the app is the current one. The approval itself takes a minute in Merchant Center; the rest is Google applying the change and listing your products. Q: Is Switchover included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Switchover is part of Verteco Komplet, included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. The CSS switch itself carries no charge; the fee is billed by verteco.shop, not through Google Ads, and click costs stay with Google Ads. Q: Does the switch change my campaigns or my feed? A: No. The CSS of the account changes and the line under your ads changes to By verteco.shop. Campaigns, product groups, bids, budgets, conversion tracking, feeds and your Merchant Center id stay the same. Ads keep running during the switch, and you can switch back at any time. Q: What if the request does not appear in Merchant Center? A: Check that you are looking at the account whose id you gave us. If the account is a sub-account of a multi-client account, the CSS setting belongs to the MCA and its administrators receive the request. Old requests disappear from the list; send your Merchant Center id to support@verteco.shop and it is sent again. ## Verteco Vitrine (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/comparison_listing/ Your listing status on our comparison site. Vitrine checks whether your shop is listed in the merchant directory of css.verteco.shop, the verteco.shop comparison site, and links to your shop page there. It shows what Komplet knows locally – feed status, products in the snapshot and the products Google reports for your shop under our CSS – and explains how to find comparison-site visitors in Google Analytics 4 as referral traffic. Impressions and clicks measured on the comparison site itself are not shown yet; that comes with the Google connection. - Listing check against the css.verteco.shop merchant directory, with a link to your shop page - Feed status, snapshot size and the products Google reports for your shop under the verteco.shop CSS - Feed registration status with the comparison site - How to find comparison-site visitors in Google Analytics 4 (referral source css.verteco.shop) - Later with the Google connection: impressions and clicks measured on the comparison site Part of what a CSS does is run a comparison site where the shops it serves are listed, and merchants rarely see that side. Vitrine is for merchants served by the verteco.shop CSS who want to check their listing on css.verteco.shop and find its visitors in their analytics. ### What Vitrine reads today Vitrine shows local data first: your feed status, the number of products in the daily snapshot, the feed registration status with the comparison site and the products Google reports for your shop under the verteco.shop CSS. The directory lookup talks to css.verteco.shop and therefore runs in a background job, never inside a page request; the job stores whether your shop is listed, its slug, product count and fetch time, so the page renders without a network call. Matching uses the Merchant Center id when the directory payload carries one, otherwise the homepage host and the slugified shop name, and the page records which. Impressions and clicks measured on the comparison site itself are not shown yet. ### How the listing check works, step by step Open Vitrine for the selected shop. The job checks the public merchant directory of css.verteco.shop and the page shows the result: listed, with a link to your shop page there, or not found, with the matching method used so you can see why. Optionally register your feed with the comparison site from the same page; that call also runs in the background. The local figures, feed status, snapshot size and the CSS product count from Google, sit next to it so you can see whether the comparison site reflects your catalogue. A short guide explains how to find comparison-site visitors in Google Analytics 4: they arrive as referral traffic with the source css.verteco.shop. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Nothing. Vitrine reads and reports; your listing on css.verteco.shop follows from being served by the verteco.shop CSS and is maintained by the team. The tool does not write to Merchant Center or Google Ads and does not change your feed. It gives you a check that the switch is visible on the comparison site and a way to attribute its visitors in GA4. Clicks on the comparison site are measured by Google as part of the CSS programme; showing them per shop in Vitrine is planned for the Google connection that does not exist yet. Q: What is the comparison site of a CSS? A: Every Comparison Shopping Service in Google's programme runs a site where shoppers compare offers from the shops it serves; verteco.shop's is css.verteco.shop. Your shop is listed there as part of being served by the CSS. Vitrine checks the listing and links to your page. Q: Is Vitrine included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Vitrine is part of Verteco Komplet, included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. The listing on css.verteco.shop and the feed registration with the comparison site are part of the CSS service, not separate charges. Q: How do I see comparison-site visitors in Google Analytics 4? A: In GA4 open the traffic acquisition report and filter by session source; visitors from the comparison site arrive as referral traffic with the source css.verteco.shop. Vitrine shows the steps. Impressions and clicks measured on the comparison site itself will be shown once a Google connection exists. Q: Does Vitrine change my feed or my accounts? A: No. It reads your feed status, your snapshot size and the CSS data Google reports for your shop, and it checks the public merchant directory. Nothing is written to Merchant Center or Google Ads, and the feed registration only tells css.verteco.shop where your feed is. Q: Why is my shop not found in the directory? A: The directory is matched by Merchant Center id when available, otherwise by your homepage host and shop name. A recent switch may not be listed yet, or the shop name differs from the directory entry. Vitrine shows which method was used; if the listing is missing after the switch is active, write to support@verteco.shop. ## Verteco Partner Desk (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/agency_hub/ Multi-client dashboard and white-label client reports. Partner Desk is for accounts that see more than one shop: a client table with plan, subscription status, feed status and item count, Feedpulse score, open alerts and the newest Google Ads upload with its cost total, with search, filters, sorting and a CSV export. It adds an aggregated savings estimate per currency (the Verdict formula over your clients’ uploaded reports), a partner tier computed from the number of active shops, and a printable white-label report per client with your agency name, logo and footer line. Registration, commission and invoicing of the formal partner programme live at partners.verteco.shop, not here. - All your clients’ shops in one table: plan, status, feed, products, Feedpulse score, alerts, last Ads upload - Search, filters, sorting and CSV export - Aggregated savings estimate per currency from the clients’ uploaded Google Ads reports - Partner tier (Partner, Plus, Top) from the number of active shops – informational; commission terms are set in the partner programme - Printable white-label report per client with your agency name, logo and footer line An agency with twenty Shopping clients checks twenty feeds, twenty alert lists and twenty report uploads. Partner Desk is for agencies and multi-shop accounts that want every client's CSS status, feed state and performance upload in one table, with a client report they can put their own name on. ### What Partner Desk reads today Partner Desk appears for accounts that see more than one shop. Its client table reads data already in Komplet for each shop: plan and subscription or lifecycle status, feed status and item count, the Feedpulse score, open Radar alerts, and the newest Google Ads product report upload with its cost total. Search, filters and sorting run on the server and the table exports as CSV. The aggregated savings estimate applies the Verdict formula to the clients' uploaded reports, per currency. The partner tier, Partner, Plus or Top, is computed from the number of active shops, those in trial or with a subscription, and is informational. Single-shop accounts see a short explanation and the partner programme link instead. ### How the white-label report works, step by step In the settings form enter your agency name, upload a logo and write a footer line; the settings are saved for every shop you see, and a shop added later finds them too. For each client, open the report: a standalone printable HTML page with your branding that summarises the shop's feed status, Feedpulse score, alerts and the figures from the newest Google Ads upload. Print it or save it as PDF through the browser. Because the data comes from uploads and the feed snapshot, the report reflects the latest upload for that client; agencies that upload reports monthly get a monthly report rhythm without extra work. Nothing is fetched from Google. ### What it changes in Google Ads or Merchant Center Partner Desk changes nothing in any client's Google Ads or Merchant Center account and never touches a client feed. It is a reading layer over the other Komplet tools: a low Feedpulse score leads into Feedpulse, open alerts into Radar, an old upload into Cockpit or Checkup for that shop. Registration, commission and invoicing of the formal partner programme live at partners.verteco.shop, not in Partner Desk, and the tier shown here does not set commission terms. Each client shop is a verteco.shop CSS subscription of its own, billed per shop or at an agency price agreed separately. Q: Is Partner Desk included in the €19 per shop CSS price? A: Yes. Partner Desk is part of Verteco Komplet and included for every shop on the verteco.shop CSS at €19 per month or €199 per year per shop, or at an agency price agreed separately. The client table, savings estimate and white-label reports carry no extra fee. Q: Who sees Partner Desk? A: Accounts linked to more than one shop, typically agencies the verteco.shop team has linked to their clients' shops. A single-shop account sees an explanation and the partner programme link instead. Agencies see every shop linked to them and nothing beyond that. Q: What does the white-label report contain? A: A printable page per client with your agency name, logo and footer line, summarising feed status, the Feedpulse score, open alerts and the figures from the newest uploaded Google Ads product report, including its cost total. It is built from the same data as the client table and saved as PDF through the browser. Q: Does the partner tier set my commission? A: No. Partner, Plus and Top are computed from the number of active shops and shown for orientation only. Commission, registration and invoicing belong to the formal partner programme at partners.verteco.shop, and the terms agreed there apply, whatever tier Partner Desk shows. Q: Does Partner Desk access my clients' Google accounts? A: No. Everything comes from the feed snapshots and the reports uploaded per shop; there is no Google connection today. When one is added, the table will show the same figures from the connected reports, and the white-label report will follow the same data. ## Verteco Academy (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/help_academy/ Guides and answers for the CSS switch and the Komplet tools. Academy is the help centre inside the app: thirteen articles on what the CSS switch changes, approving the request in Merchant Center, full switch versus MCA association, the CSS for free listings, adding the supplemental feed, exporting the Google Ads and price competitiveness reports, preparing a margins CSV, running a CSS A/B test, custom labels in your campaign structure, importing a feed into Microsoft Merchant Center, what Komplet reads and stores, and contact and support. Articles are searchable; they are written in English while the interface follows your language. Webinar recordings are listed once they exist – there are no placeholder entries. - Thirteen step-by-step articles in seven categories, from the CSS switch to Komplet and your data - How to export the reports the tools import: Google Ads product report, price competitiveness report, margins CSV - The supplemental-feed guide shows your own private feed URL - Search across titles, summaries and keywords - Articles in English; webinar recordings appear once they exist The CSS switch and the Komplet tools touch Merchant Center and Google Ads settings that merchants visit rarely and that Google renames from time to time. Academy is the help centre inside Komplet for merchants and agencies who want the exact steps, written down and searchable. ### What Academy contains today Academy holds thirteen articles in seven categories. CSS switch: what the switch changes and what it does not, approving the request in Merchant Center, full switch versus association through the multi-client account. Merchant Center: choosing the CSS for free listings, adding the Komplet supplemental feed. Reports: exporting the Google Ads product report, exporting the price competitiveness report, preparing a margins CSV. Campaigns: running a CSS A/B test, using custom labels in your campaign structure. Channels: importing a feed into Microsoft Merchant Center. Komplet: what Komplet reads and stores. Support: contact and support. Articles are written in English while the interface follows your language; webinar recordings are listed only once they exist. ### How to find the right article, step by step Open Academy and type into the search field; the list narrows while you type, and the server search matches every word against titles, summaries, keywords, slugs and category names. Each article has a summary, so the list page already answers simple questions. Inside an article the steps are numbered with the Merchant Center or Google Ads paths, and related articles from the same category are listed at the end. The supplemental-feed article is special: with a shop selected it shows that shop's own private feed URL and the steps with the URL filled in, so the Merchant Center step is copy and paste. The tool pages link to the articles that explain their uploads. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Academy itself changes nothing; it tells you what to click and what each setting does. The articles are the reference behind the tools: the Google Ads product report article is what Cockpit, Lineup, Checkup and Product Lab import, the price competitiveness article is Price Position's input, the margins CSV article is Margin's, and the custom labels article explains how the labels those tools publish are used in product groups and listing groups. When Google renames a menu and a step no longer matches, support@verteco.shop corrects the guide. The twelve public articles are also mirrored on verteco.shop; the contact article stays in the app. Q: Is Academy included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Academy is part of Verteco Komplet, included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. All thirteen articles are available to every signed-in account; the public mirror on verteco.shop needs no login. Q: In which languages are the articles? A: The articles are written in English. The Komplet interface, including Academy's navigation, search and category labels, follows your language setting. Translations of the public articles into further languages are part of the verteco.shop content plan; machine translation is not used. Q: Which articles explain the reports the tools import? A: Exporting the Google Ads product report, for Cockpit, Lineup, Checkup, Product Lab and Verdict's forecast; exporting the Merchant Center price competitiveness report, for Price Position; and preparing a margins CSV, for Margin and Checkup's break-even check. Each lists the required columns, formats and the 20 MB limit. Q: Are there webinars? A: The webinars section lists recordings once they exist and states so until then; there are no placeholder entries. Questions a webinar would answer, such as the switch or the supplemental feed, are covered by the written articles and by support@verteco.shop. Q: What if a step in a guide no longer matches Merchant Center? A: Google changes menu names and paths from time to time. Write to support@verteco.shop with the guide title and what you see instead, and the guide is corrected. The contact and support article lists what to include in a request so it can be answered in one round. ## Verteco Image Maker (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/creatives/ Product image cards from your feed, in bulk. Image Maker draws a 1080 px SVG card per product from your feed snapshot: the product photo, the brand line, a wrapped title and a price badge (sale price with the regular price struck through) on a frame in your colours, in 1:1 or 4:5. You pick products from a searchable list and download single cards or open up to 24 at once as a batch for printing or saving as PNG or PDF through the browser. The cards are files for your own use in ads and social posts – they are not published to Google through the supplemental feed, and automatic background removal is planned but not available yet. - Template with frame and accent colour, price badge, brand line and 1:1 or 4:5 aspect ratio - Cards drawn from the feed snapshot: photo, brand, title and price, 1080 px wide SVG - Searchable product picker with inline previews; single download or a batch of up to 24 cards - PNG or PDF through the browser print dialog - Uses the photo as it is in your feed – automatic background removal is planned, not available yet Ads and social posts need product images with a price and a brand on them, and producing those by hand for hundreds of products does not happen. Image Maker is for merchants who want product image cards drawn from the feed they already have, in their own colours, in bulk. ### What Image Maker reads today Image Maker reads the daily feed snapshot: the product photo via its image link, the brand, the title and the price, including the sale price when the feed has one. From a template you keep per shop, frame colour, accent colour, show price, show brand and aspect ratio 1:1 or 4:5, the server draws a 1080 px wide SVG card per product: the photo, the brand line, a wrapped and truncated title and a price badge with the sale price and the regular price struck through. Text is escaped and control characters are stripped, and only http and https image URLs are used; anything else becomes a no-image placeholder. The product picker is searchable, shows inline previews and lists 50 products per page. ### How the cards are made, step by step Set the template once: your two colours, whether the price and brand are shown, and the aspect ratio. Search the product list and look at the inline previews, which follow the template. Download a single card as SVG, or select up to 24 products and open them as a batch: one page with all the cards, ready for the browser's print dialog, where you save as PDF or print, or for saving as PNG with the browser's tools. A downloaded SVG opened in a browser or placed in a document shows the photo from your feed. Nothing is uploaded anywhere; the cards are files for your own use. ### What it changes in Merchant Center or Google Ads Nothing. Image Maker produces files; it does not publish images to Google. The supplemental feed Komplet hosts carries titles and custom labels only, so a card cannot replace your product image in Shopping ads, and Merchant Center is untouched. The cards are made for your own channels: display or social ads, newsletters, marketplace listings, printed material. The photo is used as it is in your feed; automatic background removal is planned and not available yet, and the page says so. If a product's image link is missing or not http(s), Feedpulse lists it as an image problem and the card shows the placeholder. Q: Is Image Maker included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Image Maker is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop. Templates, single cards and batches carry no per-image charge, and there is no separate design plan. Q: Which formats do I get? A: Each card is a 1080 px wide SVG in 1:1 or 4:5. Single cards download as SVG; a batch of up to 24 opens as one page for the browser's print dialog, where you save as PDF, or for saving as PNG with the browser's tools. No additional software is needed. Q: Are the cards published to Google Shopping? A: No. The hosted supplemental feed publishes titles and custom labels only, and Google Shopping ads use the image from your primary feed. The cards are for your own ads, posts and documents. Nothing is written to Merchant Center or Google Ads. Q: Can Image Maker remove the background from product photos? A: Not yet. The card uses the photo exactly as the feed links it. Automatic background removal is planned and the tool page states that it is not available. Photos on a clean background in your feed therefore give the cleanest cards today. Q: Why does a card show a placeholder instead of the photo? A: The product's image link in the feed is missing or does not start with http or https, so the server does not reference it. Fix the image_link in your feed; Feedpulse lists the affected products. The next daily fetch updates the snapshot and the card. ## Verteco Margin (Live) https://verteco.shop/tools/bid_rules/ Bid for profit, not just for sales. Margin joins three sources per product: your margins sheet (a CSV with cost price or margin %, started from a template that lists your products and prices), the feed snapshot for the selling price, and your uploaded Google Ads product report for clicks, cost, conversions and conversion value. From these it computes gross profit, profit after ad cost and POAS, sorts products into High, Medium, Low and Negative margin tiers with editable thresholds, and gives a recommendation per product – increase bids, decrease bids, pause review or keep – with the reason. Tiers can be published as a custom label (custom_label_2 by default) through the hosted supplemental feed; the bid recommendations are recommendations only – nothing is written to Google Ads. - Margins sheet upload (cost price or margin %) with a CSV template filled with your product ids and prices - Profit, gross profit and POAS per product from margins, feed price and the Google Ads report - Margin tiers High / Medium / Low / Negative with editable thresholds, published as a custom label - Bid recommendations with reasons – increase, decrease, pause review, keep – also as CSV - Recommendations only – nothing is changed in Google Ads ROAS treats a 10 % margin product and a 50 % margin product the same, so bidding on ROAS alone funds sales that lose money. Margin is for merchants who know their cost prices and want profit per product, POAS and bid recommendations built from them, with nothing written to Google Ads. ### What Margin reads today Margin joins three sources per product. Your margins sheet: a CSV with one row per product id and a cost price or a margin percentage, started from a template Margin fills with your product ids and prices. The daily feed snapshot: the selling price, sale price when set, title and link. Your uploaded Google Ads product report: clicks, cost, conversions, conversion value and impression share. From these it computes the margin fraction, margin_pct divided by 100 or (price minus cost price) divided by price; gross profit as conversion value times the margin fraction; profit as gross profit minus ad cost; and POAS, profit on ad spend, as gross profit divided by ad cost. Everything is recomputed on request; only settings and the published stamp are stored. ### How tiers and recommendations work, step by step Download the margins template, fill cost_price or margin_pct and upload it; the Academy article lists the accepted columns, delimiters and number formats. Upload the Google Ads product report. Margin sorts products into High, Medium, Low and Negative margin tiers with editable thresholds, High from 40 % and Medium from 20 % by default, and gives each product a recommendation, increase bids, decrease bids, pause review or keep, with the reason, using a POAS target of 2.0 and a minimum of 10 clicks by default so thin data is not over-read. Tiers can be published to a custom label slot, custom_label_2 by default, through the hosted supplemental feed; large label writes run as a background job. Recommendations download as CSV. ### What it changes in Google Ads Nothing is written to Google Ads: the bid recommendations are recommendations only, and you apply them in your campaigns. What Margin can publish is the tier as a custom label, after you choose to; Merchant Center merges it in after fetching the supplemental feed and Google Ads sees it within hours. You then subdivide product groups or Performance Max listing groups by Custom label 2 and set bids or budgets per margin tier: more for High, less or excluded for Negative. Your primary feed, prices and cost data stay in your systems; the margins sheet is stored as an upload, the last five per shop, and replaced by newer ones. Q: What is POAS and how is it different from ROAS? A: ROAS is conversion value divided by ad cost; it ignores what the goods cost you. POAS, profit on ad spend, is gross profit divided by ad cost, where gross profit is conversion value times your margin fraction. A product can have a high ROAS and a POAS below 1, meaning the ads cost more than the margin they generated. Q: Is Margin included in the €19 subscription? A: Yes. Margin is part of Verteco Komplet and included in the verteco.shop CSS subscription of €19 per month or €199 per year per shop, together with the hosted supplemental feed that publishes the tiers. There is no per-product or per-upload charge. Q: What does the margins CSV need to contain? A: One row per product with id exactly as in your feed and either cost_price or margin_pct; price and currency are optional. CSV, TSV or TXT up to 20 MB, comma, semicolon, tab or pipe separated, UTF-8 or Windows-1250, decimal commas or dots. The template Margin offers already lists your product ids and prices. Q: Does Margin change my bids in Google Ads? A: No. The recommendations, increase, decrease, pause review or keep, are shown with their reason and exported as CSV; nothing is written to Google Ads. If you publish the margin tier as a custom label, that goes through the hosted supplemental feed, and you set bids per tier in your product groups yourself. Q: What happens without a Google Ads connection? A: Margin works from the Google Ads product report you upload and your margins sheet, so no connection is needed; results are as current as the newest upload. A connection that reads the report automatically is planned. Writing bids back to Google Ads is not planned; the tool is built to recommend. How it works: Sign in — Sign in to Verteco Komplet with the e-mail address of your verteco.shop account – you receive a one-time login link, no password – and pick your shop. Add your feed and reports — Save the URL of the XML feed you send to Google Shopping; we fetch it once a day and the tools work on that snapshot. Upload the reports a tool needs as CSV: the Google Ads product report, the Merchant Center price competitiveness report or your margins sheet. Review and apply — Review the findings in the tool. Custom labels and approved titles reach Google through the supplemental feed Komplet hosts, which you add once in Merchant Center; everything else stays a recommendation you apply yourself. # Help centre https://verteco.shop/help/ ## What the CSS switch changes and what it does not (CSS switch) https://verteco.shop/help/what-the-css-switch-changes/ The CSS label under your ads, the bid margin, the comparison site, and everything that stays as it is. ### Where CSSs come in In the countries of the European Economic Area, in the United Kingdom and in Switzerland, Shopping ads on Google are placed by Comparison Shopping Services (CSSs). Google Shopping, Google's own CSS, operated as Google Shopping Europe, is one of them; verteco.shop is another. A Merchant Center account has exactly one CSS at a time, and the switch moves your account from Google Shopping to verteco.shop. ### What changes - The CSS of your Merchant Center account. After you approve the request, Merchant Center lists verteco.shop as the CSS of the account. - The line under your ads. Shopping ads carry the name of the CSS that placed them: "By verteco.shop" instead of "By Google". - The bid. When ads are placed through Google Shopping Europe, Google keeps a share of each bid as the margin of its own CSS. Ads placed through another CSS enter the auction without that share. verteco.shop and the Verdict tool work with 20 %: the same budget buys more clicks, or the same clicks cost less. The effect in your account depends on your auctions, which is why the Verdict tool describes how to measure it. - Your products on the comparison site. The shops served by the CSS are listed on css.verteco.shop; the Vitrine tool shows your entry. - A CSS fee. verteco.shop charges €19 per month per shop (or €199 per year, or an agency price agreed separately). It is billed by verteco.shop, not through Google Ads. ### What does not change - Your Merchant Center account, its id, your product data and your feeds. - Your Google Ads account, campaigns, product groups, bids, budgets, targeting and conversion tracking. Click costs are still billed by Google Ads. - Where the ads can appear (Search, the Shopping tab, partner placements): this follows your campaign settings, not the CSS. - Google's Shopping ads policies, product data requirements and account reviews. - Control over your accounts. The switch does not give verteco.shop access to your Google Ads account. - Free product listings keep their own CSS setting (see the article Choosing the CSS for free listings). ### During the switch Ads keep running while Google applies the change on its side. There is no need to pause campaigns or re-upload feeds. The Switchover tool in Komplet follows the steps for your shop. ## Approving the CSS switch request in Merchant Center (CSS switch) https://verteco.shop/help/approve-css-switch-request/ Where the pending request appears, who can approve it and what to do when it is not there. ### How the request reaches you The verteco.shop team sends the switch request from its CSS dashboard to your Merchant Center id. Google then e-mails the administrators of the account and lists the request in Merchant Center. Nothing changes until an administrator accepts it. ### Approving it - Sign in to Merchant Center with a user that has the Admin role on the account. Standard users can see the request but cannot accept it. - Open Settings (the gear icon), then Comparison shopping services . The request from verteco.shop is listed there as pending. The e-mail from Google carries a link to the same page. - Choose Accept (Approve). The page then shows verteco.shop as the CSS of the account. ### If the request is not listed - Check that you are looking at the account whose Merchant Center id you gave us; a shop with several accounts receives the request on one of them. - If your account is a sub-account of a multi-client account (an agency MCA, for example), the CSS setting belongs to the MCA: its administrators receive and accept the request, and all sub-accounts move to the new CSS together. - Requests that stay unanswered for a long time disappear from the list. Send your Merchant Center id and a screenshot of Settings, Comparison shopping services to support@verteco.shop and the request is sent again. ### After accepting Google lists your account under the verteco.shop CSS and your Shopping ads are shown with "By verteco.shop". Campaigns, feeds and the link between Merchant Center and Google Ads stay as they are. The Switchover tool in Komplet shows the state of your switch, and you can change the CSS again at any time on the same Merchant Center page, including back to Google Shopping. ## Full switch or association through the CSS multi-client account (CSS switch) https://verteco.shop/help/full-switch-vs-mca-association/ The two ways a shop can work with a CSS, who holds the account in each case, and what verteco.shop uses. A shop can work with a CSS in two ways. Both are supported by Google; they differ in who holds the Merchant Center account. ### 1. Full switch of your own account You keep your Merchant Center account and its id. The CSS sends a request, you approve it in Merchant Center, and the CSS becomes the CSS of the account. Nothing moves and the CSS does not become an administrator of your account. This is the standard path at verteco.shop. ### 2. Association through the CSS multi-client account (MCA) The CSS runs a multi-client account and your shop becomes a sub-account in it: either a new sub-account the CSS creates for you, or your existing account moved under the MCA. Administrators of the MCA then have administrative access to the sub-account, its settings, feeds and diagnostics. Shops choose this when they have no Merchant Center yet, or when they want the CSS to manage the feed for them. ### Side by side - Account owner. Full switch: you. Sub-account in the CSS MCA: the CSS's multi-client account, with you as a user of the sub-account. - Account id. Full switch: unchanged. Sub-account: a new sub-account id, or your account inside the MCA. - Administrative access for the CSS. Full switch: none; the CSS receives product data through the CSS programme. Sub-account: full access to the sub-account. - Feed management. Full switch: you. Sub-account: you or the CSS. - Leaving. Full switch: switch back or to another CSS at any time. Sub-account: the sub-account is moved out of the MCA; Google supports this, it needs coordination with the CSS. - Click costs. In both cases billed by your Google Ads account. ### One account, one CSS A Merchant Center account is served by one CSS at a time. Shops that want to compare CSSs side by side use several Merchant Center accounts with the same products, each with its own CSS and its own campaigns. The article Running a CSS A/B test describes that setup. ### What verteco.shop does The standard setup is the full switch of your own account. Komplet works with either setup, because it reads your public feed URL and the reports you upload, not your Merchant Center account. ## Choosing the CSS for free listings (Merchant Center) https://verteco.shop/help/css-for-free-listings/ Free product listings are attributed to a CSS too; where the setting is and what it affects. Free product listings, the unpaid results in the Shopping tab and on other Google surfaces, are attributed to a CSS as well. Google lets a merchant choose which CSS shows its free listings; the choice is separate from the CSS that places the paid Shopping ads. ### Where the setting is - Sign in to Merchant Center as an administrator of the account. - Open the settings (gear icon) and the Comparison Shopping Services page. Google has renamed this page between the classic Merchant Center and Merchant Center Next; look for "CSS" or "Comparison Shopping Services". - In the free listings part of the page, choose the CSS that should display your free listings. The list shows the options available for your account. ### What it affects - Only the CSS shown with the free listings and the comparison site that free-listing clicks are attributed to. Free listings have no bid, so the bid margin of paid Shopping ads does not apply. - The ranking of free listings is not changed by the CSS choice; it depends on product data quality and relevance. - If the page offers no choice, the account works with one CSS and the free listings use it. If your free listings and your Shopping ads should carry the same CSS, select verteco.shop in that setting once the switch is complete. ## Adding the Komplet supplemental feed in Merchant Center (Merchant Center) https://verteco.shop/help/add-supplemental-feed/ Step by step for the hosted feed that publishes your custom labels and approved titles. ### What a supplemental feed is A supplemental feed adds or overrides attributes of products that already exist in your primary feed, matched by the product id (g:id). It cannot add products, remove them, or change anything it does not contain. The Komplet feed contains two kinds of attributes only: custom labels assigned by the tools and titles you approved. Prices, availability and links are never touched. ### Your feed URL Every shop has its own private feed URL, shown on the Komplet dashboard and in the in-app version of this article. Anyone who knows it can read the labels and titles, so treat it like a password; the dashboard can generate a new one if it leaks. ### Steps in Merchant Center - In Google Merchant Center open Products, then Data sources (or Feeds). - Under Supplemental sources choose Add supplemental product data and select Scheduled fetch. - Paste the feed URL shown on your Komplet dashboard. - Set the fetch frequency to daily. No login is required; the link is private to your shop. - Link the supplemental source to your primary feed so Google applies the added attributes. ### After adding it - Mark the step as done on the dashboard ("I added it in Merchant Center"). The dashboard also shows when Google last fetched the feed and how many items are published at the moment. - Google applies supplemental data after its next fetch; allow a few hours after the fetch for titles and labels to appear in Merchant Center. - The feed is empty until a tool assigns a label or you approve a title. An empty supplemental feed is valid and changes nothing. - If your primary feed already fills a custom label slot, a Komplet label in the same slot overrides it for the products that have one. Each tool states which slot it uses. ## Exporting the Google Ads product report (Reports) https://verteco.shop/help/export-google-ads-product-report/ Which report, which columns and which format Komplet imports. ### Which report Komplet imports a product-level report from Google Ads: one row per item (Item ID) with the metrics for a period. Two ways to get it: - Products view of a campaign. Open a Shopping or Performance Max campaign, choose Products, set the date range, segment by Day if Komplet should detect the period, and use the download icon. - Report editor. Under Reports (Insights and reports) open the Report editor and use the predefined Shopping report by Item ID, or build a table with Item ID as the row. ### Columns Required: Item ID . Recommended: Impressions, Clicks, Cost, Conversions, Conv. value, Search impr. share, CTR, Avg. CPC, Currency code and Day (or Date) for the period. The import recognises the column names of English, Czech, Slovak, German and Polish exports. ### Format - Download as CSV. Files ending in .csv, .tsv or .txt are accepted, up to 20 MB. - Google Ads exports are often UTF-16 with tab separators and a title line above the header; all of that is handled, and "Total" rows are skipped. - When a report is segmented by day, rows are summed per Item ID; impression share is averaged, CTR and average CPC are recalculated from the sums. - Numbers may use decimal commas, thousands separators, currency symbols or percent signs. ### Where to upload The Komplet tools that work with Google Ads data (Cockpit, Lineup, Checkup, Product Lab, Margin and the forecast in Verdict) have an upload form for this report. The newest upload is the one the tools use; the last five uploads are kept per shop. ## Exporting the Merchant Center price competitiveness report (Reports) https://verteco.shop/help/export-price-competitiveness-report/ Enabling Market Insights, finding the report and downloading it in a form Komplet reads. ### What it is Merchant Center compares your prices with the prices other merchants show for the same products and reports a benchmark price per product. It is available where Google has enough data for the product; products without a benchmark are not in the report. ### Enable Market Insights The report belongs to the Market Insights programme. In the classic Merchant Center open Growth, then Manage programs, and enable Market Insights (price competitiveness). In Merchant Center Next look for Price competitiveness among the analytics and performance pages. If you cannot find a price competitiveness page at all, this is the step to check. ### Export - Open the price competitiveness report (Growth, then Price competitiveness in the classic layout). - Choose the country and the product scope you want to analyse. - Use the download icon and save the file as CSV. ### Columns Komplet reads Item ID (or Offer ID), Title, Your price (Current price), Benchmark price, Price difference, Currency, Country, Category, Brand and Clicks. Item ID plus at least one price column is required. When the report contains both prices but no difference column, the difference is computed as (your price − benchmark) / benchmark. ### Where to upload The Price Position tool in Komplet takes this report and compares every product with its benchmark. The last five uploads per shop are kept. ## Preparing a margins CSV (Reports) https://verteco.shop/help/prepare-margins-csv/ Columns, number formats and delimiters for the cost price or margin sheet. The pricing tools in Komplet can take your purchasing costs into account when they come from a simple sheet exported from your shop system or a spreadsheet. ### Columns - id (required): the product id exactly as g:id in your feed. Headers such as Item ID, SKU or ID položky are recognised. - cost_price (one of the two): purchase price per unit, in the currency of the feed. - margin_pct (one of the two): margin in percent of the selling price, e.g. 32 or 32 %. - price (optional): selling price; without it the feed price is used. - currency (optional): ISO code (EUR, CZK, PLN …). ### Format - CSV, TSV or TXT, up to 20 MB; comma, semicolon, tab or pipe as separator; UTF-8 (with or without BOM) or Windows-1250. - Numbers may use decimal commas or dots, thousands separators and a percent sign: "1 234,56" and "1,234.56" are both read. - Rows without a cost price and without a margin are skipped and counted in the import summary. - The first row that contains an id column plus at least one other known column is used as the header, so a title line above the header is fine. ### Example A three-line file with semicolons as separator: - id;cost_price;price;currency - SKU-1;31,90;59,90;EUR - SKU-2;740;1299;CZK ### Upload The tools in the Pricing and margins group of Komplet, Margin and Checkup, offer the margins upload; Margin also provides a template already filled with your product ids and prices. The newest file is used for the calculations; the last five uploads are kept per shop. ## Running a CSS A/B test (Campaigns) https://verteco.shop/help/run-a-css-ab-test/ Two test designs, how long to run them, what to compare and where to enter the results. A CSS test compares the same products placed through Google Shopping (Google's CSS) and through verteco.shop. Because a Merchant Center account has one CSS at a time, every test needs two accounts: your current one, and a sub-account under the verteco.shop multi-client account that the team creates for you (the second switch mode in the Switchover tool), both with the same product feed and both linked to your Google Ads account. ### Method 1: Google Ads experiment - Create a Shopping campaign for each account with the same products, bids and budget. - In Google Ads open Experiments and set the two campaigns up as an experiment with a 50/50 split. Choose the user-based (cookie-based) split so one person only ever sees one arm. - Run the experiment for at least two weeks, longer when daily clicks are low. ### Method 2: two accounts, parallel campaigns - Run one campaign per account at the same time, with the same bids, budget and targeting. - Both campaigns compete in the same auctions and Google serves one of them per auction. Compare per-click metrics, not volumes: how many impressions each arm got reflects the allocation, not the CSS. - To reduce the effect of the allocation, split the catalogue in two halves by item id, give each account one half, and swap the halves for the second half of the test period. ### How long The CPC comparison needs at least 30 clicks per arm; 100 or more per arm gives a clearer result. Avoid weeks with sales, holidays or feed problems in only one arm, and keep bids and budgets unchanged during the test. ### What to compare - Average CPC and CTR per arm (the main metrics). - Conversion rate and cost per conversion, when conversions are tracked in both arms. - Not impressions or clicks as totals: they depend on how traffic was split. ### Reading the result Enter impressions, clicks, cost and optionally conversions of both arms in the Verdict tool in Komplet. It computes the CPC and CTR differences, tests them for statistical significance (two-proportion z-test for CTR and conversion rate, an approximation for CPC, threshold p < 0.05) and states the assumptions it makes. A result that is not significant means the test needs more clicks, not that there is no difference. ## Using custom labels in your campaign structure (Campaigns) https://verteco.shop/help/custom-labels-in-campaign-structure/ The five label slots, common labelling schemes and how Komplet publishes labels without touching your feed. ### The five slots Every product may carry five custom labels, custom_label_0 to custom_label_4, each up to 100 characters. Shoppers never see them; they exist so that you can group products in Google Ads. One value per slot per product. ### Common labelling schemes - Margin band (high / medium / low): bid higher where the margin allows it. - Price position (below / at / above benchmark): bid up on competitive products, hold back on expensive ones. - Seasonality (winter / summer / all-year): seasonal budgets. - Stock depth (deep / low): avoid pushing products about to sell out. - Sales tier (bestseller / long tail): separate campaigns and budgets. ### Using them in Google Ads - Shopping campaigns: in the Product groups view subdivide "All products" by Custom label 0–4 and set bids or exclusions per group. - Performance Max: in the Listing groups of an asset group, subdivide by Custom label to include or exclude products. - Campaign priorities and budgets then let you fund the groups differently. ### How Komplet publishes labels - Komplet never edits your primary feed. Labels assigned by a tool go into the hosted supplemental feed; once that feed is linked in Merchant Center, Google merges the label into the product after its next fetch (see the article Adding the Komplet supplemental feed in Merchant Center). - Each tool page states which slot it writes; Price Position, for example, defaults to custom_label_3 and lets you change it. Keep tool slots different from the slots your own feed fills, because a supplemental value overrides the primary one for the same product. - Product groups in Google Ads refer to the label value, so keep values stable ("margin-high", not a number that changes daily). After a label changes in Merchant Center, Google Ads picks it up within hours. ## Importing a feed into Microsoft Merchant Center (Channels) https://verteco.shop/help/import-feed-microsoft-merchant-center/ Store setup, domain verification, feed upload or scheduled fetch, and the differences from Google. ### Before you start - A Microsoft Advertising account. - Ownership of your shop domain verified in Microsoft Merchant Center; Microsoft offers verification through Bing Webmaster Tools or a tag on your site. - A feed file or a feed URL. Microsoft accepts tab-delimited text (TSV), CSV and XML files that use Google's attribute names, with the differences listed below. ### Steps - In Microsoft Advertising open Tools, then Microsoft Merchant Center, and create a store: store name, destination URL and the domain verification. - In the store open Feeds and create a feed: name, country and language, and how the data arrives, a file upload or a scheduled download from a URL (http, https or ftp). - Upload the file or save the URL. Microsoft imports the feed and lists errors and warnings in the feed summary. - Create a Shopping campaign in Microsoft Advertising and link it to the store. The Google Ads import can bring over the campaign structure; the product data itself comes from Microsoft Merchant Center. ### Differences from the Google feed - Availability values are "In Stock", "Out of Stock" and "Preorder". - One feed covers one market and one currency. - Microsoft Merchant Center supports fewer countries than Google Shopping; check the store country list before creating the feed. - Title length and identifier rules are similar; GTIN, brand and MPN help matching here too. ### Crossfeed The Crossfeed tool in Komplet converts your feed snapshot into a tab-delimited file with Microsoft's attribute names, applies the Komplet custom labels and approved titles, and lists what it had to skip and why. A hosted URL for scheduled fetches is planned; today you download the file and upload it in Microsoft Merchant Center. ## What Komplet reads and stores (Komplet and your data) https://verteco.shop/help/what-komplet-reads-and-stores/ Data sources, what is kept and for how long, what is not accessed, and how to revoke. ### What is read - Your product feed. Only the public XML URL you enter on the dashboard, fetched once a day (http or https, up to 60 MB, the same reachability rules as the portal's feed check). Google RSS, Atom and Heureka/Zboží formats are recognised. - Reports you upload. Google Ads product reports, Merchant Center price competitiveness reports and margin sheets, parsed when you upload them. - Your merchant record. Name, Merchant Center id, country, contact e-mail and the subscription and lifecycle status maintained by the verteco.shop team and the billing sync. - The CSS product snapshot. Google provides a CSS with the product data of the accounts it serves. The verteco.shop team syncs it, and tools show the part matched to your shop. ### What is stored - The latest version of every feed item in a normalised form, with the dates it was first and last seen. Items missing from a fetch are marked as removed, not deleted. - The last five uploads per report kind and their per-product numbers; older uploads are deleted automatically. - Custom labels and title overrides, your per-tool settings and results, alerts, and the queue of background jobs. - The private token of your supplemental feed URL. ### What is not accessed Komplet has no connection to your Google Ads or Merchant Center accounts. There is no Google sign-in yet, so nothing is read from Google on your behalf and nothing is written there; the supplemental feed is pulled by Google only after you add it yourself. When a Google connection is added, the tools that rely on uploads today will be able to read the same reports directly, and this guide will say so. ### Who can see the data People who sign in with the contact e-mail of the shop, and accounts the verteco.shop team links to the shop (an agency, for example). Agencies see every shop linked to them. ### Revoking - Remove the feed URL on the dashboard: fetching stops at once; the stored snapshot stays until a feed is added again, so nothing is lost by mistake. - Generate a new supplemental feed URL on the dashboard: the old URL stops working immediately. - Uploads are replaced by newer ones. To delete them earlier, or to delete every Komplet record of a shop, write to support@verteco.shop with the Merchant Center id. ## Contact and support (Support) https://verteco.shop/help/contact-and-support/ How to reach support, what to include in a request, and the related verteco.shop services. ### Support E-mail support@verteco.shop . Include your Merchant Center id, the shop name, the tool or page you were using and, for errors, a screenshot or the exact text of the message. Questions about the CSS switch itself, a pending request, a label that has not changed, go to the same address. ### Your account manager The sidebar in Komplet shows your account manager with a WhatsApp and an e-mail link for questions about your subscription or the switch. ### Related services - Portal: the CSS status of your shops and billing, reached from the Komplet sidebar. - Partner programme for agencies: partners.verteco.shop . - Comparison site: css.verteco.shop ; the Vitrine tool shows your listing. ### Reporting a mistake in a guide Google changes menu names and paths in Merchant Center and Google Ads from time to time. If a step in a guide no longer matches what you see, write to support@verteco.shop with the guide title and the guide is corrected. # CSS Partners comparison - List of EU Comparison Shopping Services https://verteco.shop/css-partners-comparison-list-of-css-partners-of-eu-with-their-prices/ ### Comparison of CSS Partners ### List of EU Comparison Services Choosing the right CSS partner is crucial, especially given its role in potentially increasing the reach and efficiency of your advertising over the long term. The importance of this choice lies in the ability of CSS Partners to significantly expand your advertising campaigns across multiple European countries, thereby supporting market expansion and consolidation. ### Here we offer you a comparison of the most commonly used CSS in Europe Various CSS partners are available across the EU, each with its own unique offerings, pricing structures, and contractual terms. It is essential to note that not all partners provide services in every European country, highlighting the importance of a tailored selection process. - verteco.shop — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: yes; Free Trial: yes; Additional Services: yes; Agency Plan: yes; Guaranteed Price: yes; Optimalization Platform: yes; Countries: EU; Cost / Month: 19 € - ProductHero — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: yes; Free Trial: yes; Additional Services: yes; Agency Plan: no; Guaranteed Price: no; Optimalization Platform: yes; Countries: EU; Cost / Month: 39 € - Shopping in EU — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: yes; Free Trial: yes; Additional Services: yes; Agency Plan: no; Guaranteed Price: no; Optimalization Platform: no; Countries: EU; Cost / Month: 29 € - Heureka — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: yes; Free Trial: no; Additional Services: no; Agency Plan: no; Guaranteed Price: no; Optimalization Platform: no; Countries: SK, CZ; Cost / Month: 40 € - TRUDA — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: yes; Free Trial: yes; Additional Services: yes; Agency Plan: yes; Guaranteed Price: no; Optimalization Platform: no; Countries: RO; Cost / Month: 350 € - Trovaprezzi.it — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: no; Free Trial: yes; Additional Services: no; Agency Plan: no; Guaranteed Price: no; Optimalization Platform: no; Countries: IT; Cost / Month: ? - Klarna CSS — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: no; Free Trial: yes; Additional Services: no; Agency Plan: no; Guaranteed Price: no; Optimalization Platform: no; Countries: EU; Cost / Month: ? - Shoparize — 20% CPC Effectiveness Increase: yes; Consultations: no; Free Trial: no; Additional Services: yes; Agency Plan: no; Guaranteed Price: no; Optimalization Platform: no; Countries: EU; Cost / Month: 39 € As of today, over 80 Google Premium CSS partners are active across the European Union. You can view the complete list of partners here . ### Although the services may seem similar at first glance, differences in pricing and offerings highlight the need for thorough comparison. This approach is particularly beneficial for regional businesses but can also be tailored for comparisons in other regions or with our services. Key considerations when selecting a CSS partner include its ability to significantly reduce CPC costs, thereby increasing clicks, CTR, and conversions in your campaigns. Additionally, specialized support from the price comparison partner can be invaluable, particularly in areas such as shopping and performance-maximized ads, along with comprehensive management of your Google Merchant Center account. Such expertise not only boosts campaign efficiency but also provides strategic guidance. The scope of the CSS partner's services is crucial, especially for businesses aiming to expand. A partner operating in your target markets can simplify expansion by eliminating the need to seek new local partners. Moreover, factors like trial periods and subsequent pricing are important to consider, ensuring you have the opportunity to evaluate the service before fully committing. In summary, choosing a CSS partner involves considering numerous factors beyond the immediate offering, from regional coverage and specialized support to trial periods and cost considerations. Such a strategic choice can greatly impact the efficiency and scale of your online advertising efforts. # Frequently asked questions https://verteco.shop/support/#faqs Q: Who is CSS program verteco.shop good for? A: Any e-commerce store, which gets traffic from Google Shopping ads, can benefit from verteco.shop to advertise cheaper. However, in order for our services to give you economic value, the monthly spend in google shopping campaigns should be at least 100 euros. Unfortunately, we will not bring you economic benefit below this limit. This service does not include campaign management, so you have to have Google Ads account and Merchant Center already. Q: What is a CSS program about? A: Long answer is that in 2017, after a lengthy procedure, Google received a record fine of 2.4 billion Euro by the European Commission for abuse of power in the EU. What Google did was considered ‘illegal under EU competition rules’ in accordance with this ruling, Google created a platform for advertising with shopping ads on its search results page, which was only accessible to web shops, hereby depriving other parties (comparison shopping sites - CSS) of the opportunity to compete fairly. The opinions in the industry differ on whether this statement is justified or not, but at least Google to changed this. If Google did not implement major steps towards embracing comparison sites, the fine would have been increased by around 5% of its worldwide revenue per year. Google then initiated those steps with the launch of the CSS program. You can read whole statement of the European Commission here. In short, we offer a tool that saves up to 20% of the advertising price based on a legal dispute, which Google lost to the EU. Q: How is it possible? Why google allows that? A: The simple answer is that google must respect the decision of the European court and allow price comparators, such as us, access to their system. Price comparators can then operate with a margin and sell clicks to their advertiser's websites. We do not work with margins, instead, we allow our partners to continue to advertise in the same way, the margin, which is up to 20%, remains with the partner. Therefore, the advertiser can get 20% more results for same budget. Q: How does advertising via CSS Partners work? A: CSS Partners can place Shopping Ads for their customers in Google. CSS partners other than Google CSS can be used for this purpose, thus saving the 20% Google margin. An existing Merchant Center is converted to a CSS Partner, or a completely new Merchant Center can be created for the customer. A merchant can also use several CSS’s at the same time. Q: What are the advantages of a CSS partner over Google CSS? A: A Comparison Shopping Service (CSS) partner is a comparison site: a website that collects prices from different webshops with the aim of directing its visitors to these webshops. Google Shopping (found under the “Shopping” tab on the search results page) is actually the Google CSS. In order to comply with EU directives, Google has separated its comparison site and created its own company. This means that Google Shopping, as a separate comparison site, is also a CSS that places Shopping ads on the Google search results page. Other comparison sites can also currently buy Shopping ads on Google on behalf of web shops. Such a Shopping ad looks exactly like a Shopping ad from Google, but instead of a link with “from Google”, there is a link “from [CSS name]” at the bottom of the ad. This is the only difference. When the visitor clicks on the ad, he is simply redirected directly to the webshop that the CSS advertises. Only when he clicks on the link “From [CSS name]” will the searcher be taken to a CSS comparison page and not to the Google Shopping tab (the Google comparison page). In order to compete fairly with Google Shopping CSS, Google gives these CSS partners a margin advantage of up to 20%. Q: How much does it cost? A: See pricing above, we offer multiple choices. You can find full pricing here . Q: What data will you have access to? A: After changing to our CSS, we see overall product overviews and error messages related to the given account (e.g. in case of rejection of items by Google). We can also create a new account for you, in which case we need your XML feed that contains the products. Therefore, we only need the Merchant Center ID number and your confirmation of the CSS change from the middle of the given Merchant Center. We do not process or store sensitive data (prices per click, product traffic, price statistics). Our terms of use also include data confidentiality agreement. Q: What other services beside verteco.shop CSS do you provide? A: We believe that the best data, in terms of quantity and scope, has the Google system itself. For this reason, we do not provide other services that would try to optimize and influence the already optimized display of ads, thereby increasing the price of the verteco.shop CSS service. For that reason, we provide only connection to verteco.shop CSS, under the most favorable conditions on the market. If you need advice on campaign management, do not hesitate to contact us, we will be happy to recommend an expert in your location Q: So when you are price comparison shopping site, where can i compare the products from your CSS? A: You can visit CSS site here : css.verteco.shop , but keep in mind that service we provide is based on providing more effective CPC for your advertising in Google Shopping Ads, not providing website traffic from our price comparison website. Q: Where will i see the discount in my google ads account? A: The discount won't be immediately visible, as it's applied in real-time during the ad placement process. You can see the results by comparing advertising with and without verteco.shop within your Google Ads account, as we offer a 30-days free trial. This allows you to compare your performance without any risk and decide whether you'd like to continue working with us or revert to your previous setup. Q: Will the change stop my support from Google Ads? A: No, support from Google does not end, we do not even interfere with the Google Ads account. Q: Someone else takes care of my advertising. Is it possible to use verteco.shop? A: Sure, we do not need to access any data in your advertising account, only your Merchant Center ID. You or your agency can provide that to us. We also cooperate with multiple freelancers and agencies, which manage ads for their clients. Feel free to contact us. Q: If the CSS system changes, will campaigns go through the learning phase again? A: No, campaigns remain in the same settings as before, as long as you stay with the same Merchant Center. Q: What does CSS stand for? A: CSS stands for Comparison Shopping Service. It is an online comparison portal. With the help of CSS in Google Shopping, the products are listed directly in Google Search. At verteco.shop, they are integrated into the verteco.shop Shopping Portal at the same time. Q: Since when does CSS exist and why? A: In 2017, Google was sued by the EU Court of Justice for a fine of 2.4 billion euros for antitrust abuse. The reason was that Google comparison portals were excluded from Google Shopping. As a result, Google dissolved its comparison platform on the European market (known as “Google Shopping”) and was henceforth Google Shopping Europe (GSE). With the Comparison Shopping Services Partner Programme, Google continued to create the possibility for other price comparison portals such as verteco.shop. Shopping to promote products for retailers via Google Shopping. Q: Do I need to use a CSS to display Shopping ads on Google's general search results page? A: Yes, only CSSs can serve Shopping ads. You can use Google Shopping or another CSS of your choice. You can also participate through multiple CSSs at the same time. Q: How can I find out which CSS is advertising on Shopping Ads on my behalf? A: Log in to your Merchant Center account. Click on the Tools and Settings menu icon and then select Set up Shopping ads under Tools. You will find a dashboard that shows you all the CSSs that have uploaded products from your website. You can also find contact information for each of them. If you don’t already have a Merchant Center account for that domain, you can create one for free. You do not need to upload any listings to see the dashboard. Q: In which countries can CSS be used? A: Currently, it works in the following 21 countries: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. Q: Are there differences between the CSS partners? A: A CSS always fulfils the same function: it transports the shopping ad from the Merchant Center to Google. A shop can therefore look for any CSS partner to place its ads. There are differences between the CSS partners in the level of service, costs and additional services, among other things. Each CSS partner determines its own CSS margins (per click/budget/fixed sum) and, if applicable, additional services (support, feed software, etc.). Some CSS partners advertise with access to bidding tools. Our recommendation is: Use Google’s automations, Google has the most information. We have also tested some of the best bidding tools for our agency and the results from Google’s automations were the best. A CSS Partner that is conspicuously cheap or even free should be checked especially well before committing. CSS partners can also lose their CSS licence, however, because strict conditions such as a minimum number of integrated shops must be met. Q: Can multiple CSSs be used in parallel and does that make a difference? A: A cooperation with several CSS partners at the same time is technically possible and can also be implemented with us if desired. However, more reach is not achieved through this, because Google prevents the multiple listing of ads of a provider. In terms of performance, we therefore do not recommend this. There are no advantages, in fact there are even some disadvantages such as cannibalisation of one’s own ads and a poorer overview of the results. Q: Will the ads still be placed in the free listings in the Google Shopping tab after a switch? A: Yes. The free listings are also possible with CSS Partner. If you need help with the activation, our consultants will be happy to support you. Unfortunately, there is currently a technical error from Google that can unexpectedly block the playout of the free ads. If this is your case, see below. Q: Does CSS also work for Smart Shopping campaigns? A: Yes, equally. The algorithm may start a learning phase at the beginning, but after a short time (usually 1-3 days at the most) the better performance is already apparent. Please make sure that the goals are set correctly, e.g. if “maximise clicks” is pursued, the clicks and thus the costs will go up due to the higher reach, but possibly not equally the conversions. Due to the better placements and the higher reach, there may be more wastage. Q: The advantages of a CSS partner over Google CSS. A: Google CSS is a subsidiary of Google and is called “Google Shopping Europe” or GSE for short. When a merchant centre is built, it is automatically connected to the Google CSS for the time being; a CSS change must be commissioned proactively. If you are still in the Google CSS, your potential for cost savings or better results is still unused. The Google CSS deducts up to 20% of the Shopping Ads budget as CSS margin and is therefore significantly more expensive than other CSS partners. An example of this: On Google CSS: If you place 1 Euro bid on a Shopping ad, up to 20 cents of it will flow to Google CSS. The ad is only placed between the competitor’s ads with an 80 cent bid. With a 1,000 Euro shopping budget per month, that’s up to 200 Euros, and with a 50,000 Euro budget, it’s up to 10,000 Euros CSS lost marketing budget. Q: Where can I find more information about Google CSS? A: You will find the information you are looking for on the Google CSS program on the Google CSS Partner Portal. You will also be able to compare the different CSS partners there. You will find more information on how it works on the Google support page. Q: What are the benefits of switching CSS from a merchant perspective? A: Cost savings The Google CSS (one of many) costs about 20% of the Shopping Ads budget. From the switch, this is no longer deducted from the Shopping Ads budget, the full budget goes into the auction. Improved ranking Online shop effectively takes part in the auction again with 100% of its bid, thus improving the ranking of the ads in Google Shopping. No risk The change is a simple technical step that does not result in any loss of information or data. Only the name of the CSS partner (in the Shopping Ads and in the Merchant Center) and the partner’s conditions change. The handling remains exactly as before, budgets. Q: What changes as a result of the CSS change? A: Only the name of the CSS partner (in the Shopping Ads and in the Merchant Center) and the partner’s conditions change. The handling remains exactly as before, budgets, feeds and Merchant Center settings are still controlled only by you. Q: What happens technically with a CSS change? A: Basically nothing changes technically, except that the CSS partner is changed from Google Shopping to verteco.shop. This step is done in the background and by Google. Q: What will I notice of the 20% discount after the switch? A: This is one of the most frequently asked questions from customers who have just switched. The 20% discount on the CPC is not an amount that will be refunded or displayed in your Google Ads account. It is a bidding advantage over Google CSS. The effect is the same as if you stayed on Google CSS and increased your bids by 25%. You achieve better positions of your product ads and are included in more auctions with higher bids. So the number of ads in your campaign(s) will increase. Q: Can there be a drop in performance when switching? A: The transition is seamless, so there is no playout gap. In the case of a change from Google CSS, the following happens: There is no performance drop; conversely, in the case of a switch, the playout and reach can be increased for the same budget per market situation. Campaigns with automated bidding strategies (such as smart shopping or target ROAS) can fall into a new learning phase, which can usually last 3-7 days, in order to adjust to the new circumstances. Q: Will the Merchant Centre's experience remain in place when I switch CSS? A: Yes. You keep the existing Merchant Center, so the experience values remain complete and available. Q: How does the switch to verteco.shop CSS work? A: Switching to verteco.shop CSS is super easy and can be done completely online. Go to this page and simply register. The switch itself is a technical step carried out by Google. Our CSS team will take care of the processes for the switch. We need your Merchant Center ID to submit a switch request to Google. Switching your Merchant Center to verteco.shop CSS will take no longer than 4 days after you submit the request to us. Q: Is it possible to book only consulting with verteco.shop without changing the Merchant Center? A: Yes, according to the contract it can also be specified that verteco.shop does not commit to any operational action, thus the actions are limited to consulting. Q: Can feeds for multiple countries be played by one MC? A: Yes, multiple feeds can be played by one MC. Q: Can CSS be requested without access to the admin email? A: Unfortunately, this does not work. Since the latest Google CSS update, authorisation must come from the admin email. You can request Google to make another email the admin if, for some reason, you no longer have access to the original admin email. To do this, you need to contact support. Q: Can I continue to manage my own campaigns? A: Your existing campaigns will continue to be used. Your campaigns and Google Ads account will continue to run without any adjustments. Q: What are the most important reasons to choose verteco.shop CSS? A: Through our CSS programme, you get access to our Google Ads experts who will help you overcome your individual challenges and support you in achieving your goals. Q: What does the service cost? A: Access to verteco.shop CSS-Only costs 19 EUR per month. There are no other costs associated with using our CSS service. We will ensure that your merchant centre is converted to verteco.shop CSS. # More pages https://verteco.shop - Support & contact: https://verteco.shop/support/ - About us: https://verteco.shop/about-us/ - Partner agencies: https://verteco.shop/partners/ - Savings simulator: https://verteco.shop/css-savings-simulator-calculate-your-potential-savings/ - Blog: https://verteco.shop/articles-and-blog/ - Terms of service: https://verteco.shop/terms-of-service/ · Privacy policy: https://verteco.shop/privacy-policy/ - Sitemap: https://verteco.shop/sitemap-index.xml
